As the country enters a new stage of development, attracting, valuing, and developing human and intellectual resources is becoming an urgent requirement. To enhance the capacity of scientific staff in policy analysis, critique, and consultation, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, organized a training course on "Policy Consultation Skills" with a presentation by Dr. Nguyen Si Dung – former Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office, a highly experienced expert in legislation and policy consultation in Vietnam.

(Nhandan) On April 8, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, organized activities as part of the program "Promoting scientific and educational cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and French partners in the new context".

In the Hall of Tradition of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, among the portraits of honored teachers of the university, there is a picture of a foreign female professor. Visitors from outside the university, especially new students, often find this room strange, but it is not unusual for alumni like us. She is Professor Nonna Vladimirovna Stankevich, a Russian linguist from the Faculty of Literature, University of Hanoi.

This is one of the key activities of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, entitled "Resources of beliefs and religions in ethnic minority communities in the midland and mountainous regions of Northern Vietnam today: current situation, changes and policy proposals".

This was the topic of a seminar organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, on March 27, 2026. The seminar attracted the participation of many scientists, experts, and managers to exchange theoretical and practical issues on rural development in the new context.

In the face of new changes, the challenge is how to shift from building new rural areas to developing modern, sustainable, and livable rural areas.

(GD&TĐ) On the morning of March 20th, a seminar on Linguistics and Vietnamese Studies in the context of digital transformation was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

On March 20, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (specifically the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management) organized a scientific seminar with the theme: “The responsibility of the Archival sector in building the national data infrastructure – Goals and directions for implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party”.

This is a significant academic event, not only to showcase a representative research work but also to commemorate and pay tribute to one of the great historians of modern Vietnam – a figure respectfully remembered by generations of students and colleagues as one of the "four pillars" of Vietnamese historiography, along with Professor Phan Huy Le, Professor Ha Van Tan, and Professor Tran Quoc Vuong.

On March 11, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ngoa Van - Yen Tu Cultural Tourism Joint Stock Company to promote heritage values ​​and disseminate and transform academic knowledge into mass-market products.

On March 13, 2026, a solemn signing ceremony for the Cooperation Regulations between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the National Political Publishing House was held to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation between research, training, editing, publishing, and knowledge dissemination.

On March 12, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, organized a scientific seminar on the topic "Resolution 80-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the Development of Vietnamese Culture: From Strategic Goals to Practical Solutions," bringing together many scientists, experts, and managers in the fields of culture, education, and public policy to exchange and clarify the major orientations of Resolution 80-NQ/TW and propose solutions for implementation in the context of the country's new development.

The award was presented at the 8th National Book Awards Ceremony on March 8, 2026, jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the Vietnam Publishers Association, and Vietnam Television.

The workshop will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam from October 22–24, 2026.
