On the morning of September 30th, the Faculty of Oriental Studies organized a ceremony to launch its volunteer team providing free tour guiding services to tourists in preparation for the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi.

On the afternoon of September 29, 2010, the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the school organized a seminar entitled "Reading Culture Among Students Today".

On the occasion of World Tourism Day, the Faculty of Tourism Studies - University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a commemorative program with the theme: "Tourism associated with the protection of biodiversity and the environment – ​​Tourism towards the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi", on the evening of September 27, 2010.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the Vietnam Film Department, organized "Vietnamese Film Days" at the University on September 29-30 and October 2, 2010.

On the morning of September 25, 2010, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, along with a delegation from the Government and the Ministry of Education and Training, visited and worked at the school.

This morning, September 15, 2010, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities solemnly held the opening ceremony for the new academic year 2010-2011.

On September 18th, the Faculty of Philosophy held a ceremony to announce the new Dean's Board for the 2010-2015 term and the opening ceremony for the 2009-2010 academic year.

This morning, the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a ceremony to launch the campaign in response to the 2010 Thang Long - Hanoi Reading Month.

On the morning of September 6, 2010, nearly 500 new students participated in the first phase of the "Student Civic Education Week" for the 2010-2011 academic year. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Son – Vice Rector – gave a lecture introducing the students to the history, organizational structure, and other aspects of the university.

"A new turning point, a new journey begins. Farewell, so we may meet again tomorrow…" - These final farewell messages marked the end of the "Summer Farewell" program at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, on the evening of June 22, 2010.

On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day (June 21), representatives from the British Council, led by Mr. Robin Rickard – Director of the British Council in Vietnam – visited and presented flowers and congratulations to the Faculty of Journalism and Communication.

On the morning of June 13, 2010, a delegation of trade union officials from the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho University, Da Nang University, and Hue University visited the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi). Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector - presided over the reception.
