University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

On June 14, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held its university-level student scientific conference. The conference is an annual academic activity for the university's students and is also one of the practical activities leading up to the celebration of the 80th anniversary and 30th anniversary of the founding of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

This afternoon, June 13, 2025, representatives from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, held a meeting and signed a memorandum of cooperation with various units to organize meditation and cultural experience programs in Vietnam and South Korea for students.

On June 10, 2025, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, visited and signed a cooperation agreement with Haowen Guilin Inter-level School, China.

Training activities on developing and adjusting training programs and course syllabi for undergraduate and postgraduate levels will be held over two days, June 11-12, 2025, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

On June 11, 2025, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), welcomed and held a meeting with Mr. Hamaya Kenichi, representative of the Sumitomo Foundation (Japan).

The first "Essence of Eastern Philosophy" course, organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH), focusing on applying philosophy to business management, successfully concluded on June 7, 2025, after a memorable learning and sharing journey.

On June 4, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) collaborated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh province (Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee) and the Institute of Han Nom Studies (Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences) to organize the international scientific conference "Han Nom Inscriptions of Non Nuoc Mountain: Potential of Documentary Heritage".

On June 3, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities issued the 2025 undergraduate admissions information according to Decision No. 4009 QD-XHNV.

On May 28, 2025, the Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, met with Mr. Rogelio Polanco Fuente, Ambassador of Cuba to Vietnam, and Professor Rogelio Sierra Díaz, Director of the Raúl Roa García Institute for Higher International Relations (Cuba).

This morning, May 24th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held the first exam (Literature) of the entrance exam for the 10th grade at the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities for the 2025-2026 academic year.

On the morning of May 20th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, held an exchange and sharing session with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, on experiences in financial management and the implementation of university autonomy mechanisms. The meeting provided an opportunity for the two universities to discuss practical operating models, strategies, tools, and challenges in the current process of university autonomy.

President Ho Chi Minh visited Hanoi University (now Vietnam National University, Hanoi) three times and offered valuable teachings to generations of students and faculty. His teachings on "learning to serve the Fatherland," "learning must go hand in hand with practice," and "patriotism is learning" have become guiding principles for the educational activities and development of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

On May 17, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), in collaboration with the Libero Institute for Liberal Arts Education Development, officially launched a course on Applied Eastern Philosophy with the theme "The Essence of Eastern Philosophy".

On May 18th, at the online conference venue of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), more than 500 Party members, including lecturers and students of the University, participated in the National Conference to thoroughly understand and implement Resolution No. 66-NQ/TW, dated April 30, 2025, of the Politburo on reforming the work of building and enforcing laws to meet the requirements of national development in the new era, and Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW, dated May 4, 2025, of the Politburo on the development of the private economy.
