Chinese Government Scholarship Program

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has received notification regarding the Chinese government scholarship program, specifically as follows:

The school has recommended 10 candidates who meet the following criteria to study in China:

  • Being a citizen of a country other than the People's Republic of China and being in good health;
  • Level of study:

+ University: High school graduates under 25 years old are required when applying for a university program;

+ Master's degree: must have a bachelor's degree and be under 35 years old when applying for master's programs;

+ PhD: must have a master's degree and be under 40 years old when applying for doctoral programs;

+ General scholar programs: applicants must be under 45 years of age and have completed at least two years of university studies when applying for general scholar programs;

+ Advanced academic programs: applicants must be under 50 years old and hold a master's degree or associate professorship (or higher) when applying for advanced academic programs.

Required documents:

  1. Applications for the Chinese Government Scholarship can be submitted in Chinese or English.
  2. A copy of the passport page with complete information and photo: Each applicant must submit a copy of their ordinary passport (valid after March 1, 2022). If the applicant's passport does not meet the above requirements, the applicant must obtain a new passport before submitting their scholarship application. For applicants who, for objective reasons, cannot apply for a passport before submitting their application, with the permission of their sponsoring organization, they may submit a copy of their national identity card or an official document containing their "English name, gender, nationality, date of birth" and other applicant information.
  3. Certified copies of the highest level of education: Scholarship recipients must submit proof of enrollment at their current institution. Documents in languages ​​other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by certified Chinese or English translations.
  4. Transcripts: Transcripts in languages ​​other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by a notarized Chinese or English translation.
  5. Study plan or research proposal in Chinese or English. (Minimum 200 words for undergraduate students, 500 words for undergraduate students, and 800 words for postgraduate students).
  6. Letters of Recommendation: Applicants for graduate programs or advanced academic programs must submit two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors.
  7. Applicants for music studies programs are required to submit their own work. Applicants for fine arts programs must submit their own work, including two sketches, two color paintings, and two other pieces.
  8. Applicants under 18 years of age should submit valid documents from their legal guardian in China.
  9. Applicants intending to stay in China for more than 6 months must submit a copy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form in English (the original must be retained by the applicant). The form can be downloaded from the Chinese quarantine authority.http://www.csc.edu.cv/studyinchinaorwww.campuschina.orgPhysical examinations must include all items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those lacking a doctor's signature, the official hospital seal, or a sealed photograph of the applicant will be considered invalid. Please choose a suitable time for your physical examination as the results are only valid for 6 months.

Please send the following documents if available:

  1. Preliminary acceptance letters from universities within the Chinese Government Scholarship University Network.
  2. Language proficiency certificates, for example, HSK, IELTS, or TOEFL certificates.

Note:All submitted documents must be clear, legal, truthful, and valid. Applicants should use professional equipment to scan relevant documents. Applicants are responsible for the accuracy of the documents they submit.

The heads of departments and faculties are requested to inform faculty, students, and postgraduate students, compile a list of candidates, and refer to the attached files for information on application instructions and the physical examination form for foreigners (attached files are available in both Chinese and English below).
