Recruitment for supplementary courses to qualify for postgraduate entrance exams in Journalism.

The Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, continuously offers refresher courses for individuals who do not yet have a bachelor's degree in Journalism and are eligible to take the postgraduate entrance exam in Journalism.

The next class is scheduled to start in December 2020.

1. Master's program in Journalism – research-oriented.

Object:Those with a university degree in a field closely related to Journalism, such as Literature, Linguistics, Political Science, International Studies, History, Sociology, Cultural Studies, Philosophy, Law, Economics, Anthropology, Management Science, Psychology, Information Science, International Relations, Publishing and Distribution, External Communications, Television Directing, Television Editing, Publishing, International Languages ​​and Cultures, Advertising and Marketing…

Course duration: 1-2 months

Number of credits required: 23 credits

Tuition fee for the entire course: 5,000,000 VND (five million Vietnamese Dong)

2. Master's program in Journalism – applied focus.

Object:

Related industries:Those with a university degree in a field closely related to Journalism, such as Literature, Linguistics, Political Science, International Studies, History, Sociology, Cultural Studies, Philosophy, Law, Economics, Anthropology, Management Science, Psychology, Information Science, International Relations, Publishing and Distribution, External Communications, Television Directing, Television Editing, Publishing, International Languages ​​and Cultures, Advertising and Marketing…

Other industries:All those who have graduated from university in fields other than Journalism.

Course duration: 1-2 months

Number of credits required for supplementary courses: 35 credits for distant majors, 23 credits for related majors.

Tuition fee for the entire course: + For distance learning programs: 7,000,000 VND (Seven million Vietnamese Dong)

+ Related industry: 5,000,000 VND (Five million Vietnamese Dong)

3. Master's Program in Journalism and Media Management.

Target audience:

Related industries:Literature, Linguistics, Political Science, International Studies, History, Sociology, Cultural Studies, Law, Economics, Anthropology, Management Science, Psychology, Information and Library Science, Information Management, International Relations, Film and Television Directing, Television Editing; Film and Television Theory, History and Criticism; Film and Television Screenwriting; Vietnamese Language and Culture; Sino-Vietnamese Studies; Foreign Languages, Literature and Culture; Philosophy, Scientific Socialism, Religious Studies, Cultural Management, Public Administration, Media Technology, Publishing and Distribution, Publishing, Publishing Business, Business Administration, Marketing, Public Management.

- Duration:20 credits

- Candidates from related fields with at least one year of experience in journalism and media and a membership card of the Vietnam Journalists Association will be exempt from 8 out of 20 credits in the supplementary knowledge program.

Other industries:All those who graduated from university with a degree other than Journalism.

- Duration:29 credits

- Candidates from other fields with at least two years of experience in journalism and media and a membership card of the Vietnam Journalists Association are exempt from 8 out of 29 credits in the supplementary knowledge program.

- Tuition fee for the entire course:+ Related industries: 4,500,000 VND

+ Related fields with journalist's card: 2,700,000 VND

+ Other sectors: 6,500,000 VND

+ Other sectors with journalist cards: 4,700,000 VND

Certification:Students who complete the program will be awarded a Certificate of Supplementary Knowledge, qualifying them to take the entrance exam for the Master's program in Journalism at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

The certificate is valid indefinitely, allowing individuals to take postgraduate entrance exams at any time that suits their personal circumstances.
