The Scientific and Training Council of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the term 2009-2014 held its first meeting on January 23, 2010.
At this meeting, the council members discussed many important issues related to the future development direction of the university's training and scientific research.
The issues discussed included:
- Main orientations and tasks in scientific research work of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the period 2010-2020.
- Adjusting the structure of occupations and developing new training fields and types of training during the 2010-2015 period.
- Adjust training programs to enhance the interconnectedness and linkages between disciplines within the credit-based training system at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
- Promote distance education at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
- To expedite the preparation of a proposal for the establishment of a Department of Policy Science.
- Separate the subject of Rural-Urban Sociology and organize training according to specialization.
