Opening ceremony for the Journalism program (part-time/evening program), cohort QH-2009-X

On January 9, 2010, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the opening ceremony for the part-time Journalism program, cohort QH-2009-X. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Rector - attended the ceremony.

This year, the Journalism program (part-time/evening education) has 113 admitted students. At the opening ceremony, the new students were introduced to the school, the curriculum, and the study plan for the year.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim introduced the position and operational direction of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities as a leading training and research center in social sciences and humanities nationwide. In particular, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, with 20 years of training experience, has contributed to providing high-quality human resources for the country's journalism and communication industry. Responding to the demands of Vietnamese journalism, the faculty's training program has undergone many innovations over the years, including updating new subjects, strengthening apprenticeship-style learning, and enhancing facilities and modern equipment to allow students more practical experience during their studies. The Vice Rector also expressed hope that the knowledge gained at the university will help students mature and become more confident in both their political stance and professional skills.
