- Party work, organization, propaganda, and mass organizations:

  • Organizing activities to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam;
  • Evaluation of leadership and management personnel in 2009;
  • Appointing the Dean and completing the personnel of the Dean's Board of the Faculty of Oriental Studies for the term 2010-2015;
  • Issue revised internal expenditure regulations;
  • Promoting and publicizing the university in preparation for the 65th anniversary of the Faculty of Literature - University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

- Training, student affairs, quality assurance and inspection:

  • Organize and grade end-of-semester exams in a serious and high-quality manner;
  • Complete the Three Public Disclosures report;
  • Completed the confirmation of teaching hours for the full-time program, Semester I, academic year 2009-2010;
  • Review and approve the revised and supplemented course syllabi following the adjustment of the training program;
  • Continue developing the 2+2 international joint training program in Journalism, Mass Communication, and Advertising with Guangxi University (China);
  • Working with organizations on the development and implementation of short-term training programs, dual degree programs, etc.;
  • Finalize the distance learning program in Management Science.
  • Complete the evaluation plan for the Tourism Studies training program.

- Scientific research and international cooperation:

  • Organized the first meeting of the Science and Training Council for the 2009-2014 term;
  • Continue to review and inspect the operations of research centers.

- Administrative, managerial, and financial tasks:

  • Develop and implement a plan to prepare for the Lunar New Year.
  • Final financial report for the fourth quarter of 2009;
  • Paying additional income for 2009.

- The units should immediately carry out the following tasks:

  • The Training Department is coordinating with other units to complete the Three Public Disclosures report effectively and upload it to the school's website as soon as possible.
  • Postgraduate Training Department: coordinates with affiliated faculties/departments to compile data on the permanent staff participating in postgraduate training for early reporting to the Ministry of Education and Training; works with Vietnam National University, Hanoi to seek guidance on opening supplementary knowledge courses and postgraduate admission standards.
  • Administrative and Management Department: planning and supervising units to ensure safety and security throughout the school during the Lunar New Year; researching designated smoking areas and implementing the government's policy of banning smoking in public places from January 1, 2010.
  • Heads of units should proactively develop non-formal training programs (distance learning, short-term courses, etc.) and international collaborative training programs to plan for their implementation and development. The university will establish a new unit to unify the management of international collaborative training programs.
  • Heads of units and secretaries of Party branches must strictly adhere to attending school-level conferences, as this is one of the criteria for evaluating emulation achievements.
  • Units need to pay more attention to both the content and format of semester exam questions.
  • Units planning to hold celebrations for their founding anniversaries must work with the Planning and Finance Department to include them in the school's 2010 budget plan.
