On June 14 and June 15, 2017, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, together with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, jointly organized a scientific conference.“Promoting the role of Buddhism in participating in social work and charity”Location at:Phat Quang Pagoda No. 83 Quang Trung, Rach Gia City, Kien Giang Province. Attending the conference on the school's side were Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh - Principal; Assoc. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Vice Principal, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Kim Oanh - Head of the Department of Religious Studies; Dr. Nguyen Thi To Uyen - Vice Head of the Department of Religious Studies, along with all lecturers of the Department of Religious Studies and participating scientists. Conference“Promoting the role of Buddhism in participating in social work and charity”The aim of the conference is to assess the current status of activities, propose solutions and directions to further promote the role of Buddhism in community support work. This conference attracted the participation of many Venerables, scientists, and managers.
