On June 14th and 15th, 2017, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Association and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, organized a scientific conference."Promoting the role of Buddhism in participating in the socialization of social work and charity."Location:Phật Quang Pagoda, 83 Quang Trung Street, Rach Gia City, Kien Giang ProvinceAttending the seminar on behalf of the university were Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh - Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Kim Oanh - Head of the Department of Religious Studies; Dr. Nguyen Thi To Uyen - Deputy Head of the Department of Religious Studies, along with all faculty members of the Department of Religious Studies and participating scientists."Promoting the role of Buddhism in participating in the socialization of social work and charity."The aim was to assess the current state of activities, propose solutions and directions to further enhance the role of Buddhism in community support. This conference attracted a large number of Venerable Monks, scientists, and administrators.
