Recruitment for the Master of Media Management program, cohort 3 - 2017

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with Stirling University (UK), announces the recruitment for the 3rd cohort of the Master of Media Management program - 2017.

The training content follows the standard curriculum currently being taught atUniversity of Stirling- The first and leading Master of Media Management program in the UK, adapted to meet the evolving needs of the media industry in Vietnam.

All modules in the program are taught by leading professors and lecturers from the University of Stirling, with Vietnamese lecturers assisting in teaching. In addition, each module includes thematic current affairs reports by Vietnamese media experts or field trips to reputable media organizations.

Study time:16 months, studying outside of regular working hours.

Degree:Graduates will be awarded a Master of Science in Media and Communications Management degree by the University of Stirling.

Eligibility requirements

a. Possess a university degree in one of the following fields: public relations, journalism, or multimedia communications. If the degree is in a different field, then...You must participate in and complete the conversion course.

b. IELTS certificate with a minimum score of 6.0 (with no skill below 5.5) or equivalent TOEFL IBT certificate.

c. In cases where students do not yet possess the above-mentioned English language certificate but wish to participate in the program, they will need to pass the English entrance test provided by Stirling University. After passing this test, students must submit their IELTS or TOEFL certificate within 6 months.

Cases where submitting an English certificate is not required:

1) Hold a bachelor's degree or higher in English; or

2) Graduated with a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree from a foreign country and studied in English.

Curriculum:In addition to the graduation thesis, the program consists of 8 modules: Fundamentals of Communication Theory, Integrated Marketing Communications, Corporate Communication, Media Economics, Public Relations Technology, International Communication, Organization and Management, and Research Methods.

Tuition:10,000 USD (paid as2 phases(The total amount is approximately VND 213,000,000, which will be based on the exchange rate at the time of payment by the Foreign Trade Bank).

The application dossier includes:

  • University diploma and transcript (submit both copies: a certified copy in Vietnamese and a notarized English translation).
  • Valid IELTS or TOEFL English certificates (except in cases where exemptions apply).
  • Two 4x6 photos.
  • A copy of your ID card or passport.
  • Application fee: 300,000 VND.

Application submission period and tentative start date: 

Starting in 2017, the program will adopt a credit-based enrollment model. Accordingly, students who submit complete applications can immediately participate in the course. In cases where students do not yet have an English certificate, they can begin the course after passing the English entrance test.

After completing the eight courses in the program, students will be eligible to write a master's thesis.
