Admission Plan for Grade 10 at the Specialized High School for Social Sciences and Humanities in 2025

1. Eligibility and application requirements:
- Students graduating from junior high school (THCS) in 2025 nationwide.
- Academic and behavioral performance for the entire school year in junior high school must be rated as "Good" or higher;
(The school will check the academic transcript when the admitted student completes the enrollment procedures.)
2. Examination subjects:
- Common subjects: Literature (essay), Mathematics (multiple choice), English (multiple choice)
- Specialized subjects: Literature, History, Geography (essay-based)
- Exam scores are calculated on a 10-point scale.
3. Time and location of the exam:
3.1. Exam time: May 24th and 25th, 2025 (Saturday – Sunday)

3.2. Examination location: University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi.
4. Registration period:
Online registration is open from April 14, 2025 to May 6, 2025.
5. Application documents for the exam:(online)
- Each candidate is only allowed to register for one of the three specialized classes (Literature, History, or Geography).
The application documents include:
+ Exam registration form (Fill in the information according to the online registration form).
+ A copy of the birth certificate (soft copy in .pdf or .jpg format);
+ A 4x6 size portrait photo (soft copy in .jpg format) (photos must be taken no more than 6 months ago, be the correct size, and be clear).
- After completing the online application, candidates must download the Examination Registration Form before May 7, 2025, attach a photo to the form, and obtain confirmation from their current junior high school. The Examination Registration Form will be submitted at the examination room on the first day of the exam.
- The University of Social Sciences and Humanities will provide specific announcements and registration instructions on its website:http://tuyensinh.ussh.edu.vn 6. Admission fee
Application fee: 650,000 VND/application (to be paid online according to the instructions of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities). Fees paid are non-refundable.
7. Contest Information
- The University of Social Sciences and Humanities announces the list of candidates who have successfully registered for the exam (having submitted all necessary documents and exam fees) on its website:http://tuyensinh.ussh.edu.vnat the end of each week during the online application period.
- From May 20, 2025: Candidates can view their exam information (candidate number, exam room, exam location, and exam room regulations) on the website:http://tuyensinh.ussh.edu.vnThe University of Social Sciences and Humanities did not send out examination notification letters.
8. Announce the exam results.
Before June 20, 2025: Announce the exam results and admission results for specialized classes on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
9. Admission methods
- Eligible candidates must have taken all three common subjects (Vietnamese Literature, Mathematics, English) and the specialized subject (Vietnamese Literature, History, Geography) exams, and must not have been disqualified from the exams.
- Selection criteria:
+ The score for each common subject (Literature, Mathematics, English) must be 4.0 or higher, and the score for the specialized subject (Literature, History, Geography) must be 6.0 or higher.
The admission score is the sum of the general Literature exam score multiplied by a factor of 1 and the specialized subject score (Literature, History, Geography) multiplied by a factor of 2. The total score is rounded to two decimal places.
+ Admission scores will be considered from highest to lowest until all quotas for each specialized class are filled.
- Priority points and bonus points will not be added to the admissions process.
