Overview of the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the Alumni Association of the School (2015)

Pursuant to the results of the Congress to establish the Alumni Association of Hanoi National University and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held on April 25, 2015; Pursuant to the Decision to establish the Alumni Association and recognize the List of the Executive Board of the Alumni Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; implementing the Charter of the Alumni Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. On September 8, 2015, the Executive Board of the Alumni Association of the University held the first plenary meeting. At the end of the meeting, the Executive Board of the Alumni Association of the University agreed on the following contents:

1. The Alumni Association of the School coordinates with the Alumni Branches and the Boards of Directors of the Faculties to build an alumni database. This database is gradually uploaded to the School's website, creating favorable conditions for the need to connect alumni of all generations with the Faculties and the School.

2. To enhance communication activities on the 70th Anniversary of Tradition and 20th Anniversary of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, based on the unified information content from the School's Communications Department, the School's Alumni Association and Alumni Branches coordinate to propagate to members of their units. The School's Alumni Association encourages members currently working at press agencies to actively participate in communication activities for the occasion of the Anniversary.

3. The Executive Board of the School's Alumni Association proposes to the School's leaders and the Organizing Committee of the Anniversary Ceremony to have specific plans to allocate the number of alumni representatives from the Branches to attend the Anniversary Ceremony and to widely publicize the information on mass media so that a large number of alumni of the School can know and participate.

4. The Executive Board of the Alumni Association of the School has decided to postpone the plan to organize a meeting of all alumni in early October due to actual conditions not allowing it. The Alumni Association of the School requests the Executive Boards of the Branches to proactively coordinate with the Boards of Directors of the Faculties to organize meetings of alumni of each Faculty on the occasion of the School's Anniversary and the unit's anniversary activities.

5. To celebrate the 70th anniversary of tradition and 20th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Alumni Association of the University launched the writing, editing and publishing of the book "From this school”. The content of the articles revolves around 3 topics: School, Teachers, Friends. To organize this meaningful activity, we suggest that the Executive Board of the Associations coordinate with the Faculty Board to mobilize alumni of the unit to participate in writing articles. Each alumni association participates in at least 1 article. Articles should be sent to the Secretariat of the School's Alumni Association before September 20, 2015 through the School's Political and Student Affairs Department (Room 408, Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai - Thanh Xuan - Hanoi, email:cuongph@vnu.edu.vn).

6. The School's Alumni Association requests the Executive Committee of the branches to mobilize and encourage alumni members of the units to actively participate in supporting the 70th Anniversary of Tradition and 20th Anniversary of the School's Establishment. 7. The School's Alumni Association assigns the Secretariat to proactively maintain contact with the Board of Directors of Faculties, the Executive Boards of Alumni Associations, and alumni of units to implement the above conclusions, successfully organize the Association's activities, actively contributing to creating connections between alumni and the School's activities and the 70th Anniversary of Tradition and 20th Anniversary of the School's Establishment.
