On the afternoon of September 17, 2015, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - presented retirement certificates to two university staff members: Mr. Pham Van Thanh - Senior Lecturer in the Anthropology Department, and Mr. Pham Van Chinh - Driver's Team Officer, General Administration Department.

Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim shared memories of his teacher and colleague, Pham Van Thanh. As a lecturer, Professor Thanh was always an exemplary and friendly teacher to many generations of students. In his relationships with colleagues, he was known for his approachability and enthusiasm in many scientific and cultural activities. During his time working at the University of Hanoi, now the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, he made many contributions to the former Department of History and now the Department of Anthropology.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim presents flowers and a commemorative gift to Professor Pham Van Thanh.

Comrade Pham Van Chinh was a soldier who participated in the border war, and later worked at the University of Hanoi, now the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He is a professional driver, having driven for several different presidents of the University. In his work, he is always punctual and drives safely. In particular, he excels in vehicle management; the vehicles are always clean, rarely break down, and are fuel-efficient.

On behalf of the faculty and staff of the University, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim expressed his gratitude to the two faculty members for their significant contributions to the University in the past and hoped that in the future, they would continue to contribute to the University's young faculty in their respective professional fields.
