The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, solemnly held the opening ceremony for its postgraduate training course in 2011 on November 23, 2011. Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Giang – Vice Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim – Vice Rector of the University, along with representatives from functional departments, faculties/departments, and the new postgraduate and doctoral students of 2011.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, solemnly held the opening ceremony for its postgraduate training course in 2011 on November 23, 2011. Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Giang – Vice Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim – Vice Rector of the University, along with representatives from functional departments, faculties/departments, and the new postgraduate and doctoral students of 2011.This year's postgraduate training course has 834 students in 27 disciplines and 57 doctoral candidates in 10 disciplines. On behalf of the University's leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim – Vice Rector – congratulated the students and doctoral candidates of the 2011 postgraduate training course. In his speech, the Vice Rector emphasized that the University's postgraduate training rate is increasing (compared to the previous academic year, the scale of master's training increased by 10% in 2010 and 37% in 2011), marking a new stage of development in postgraduate training. This shows that the prestige and position of the University are increasingly expanding and being affirmed. In 2011, the University expanded its postgraduate training cooperation with universities such as Saigon University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture, Ha Tinh University, and Bac Lieu University. This year also marked the development of several new postgraduate programs: Master of Social Work, Doctor of Archival Studies and Office Management, and Doctor of Sino-Vietnamese Studies. Professor Vu Minh Giang, Vice Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, highly praised the achievements of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in postgraduate training. The Vice Director stated that the university has the highest postgraduate training rate in the entire Vietnam National University, Hanoi, with a significant contribution from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Vietnam National University, Hanoi in general, and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular, always prioritize and focus on training quality, integrating training and research as one of the solutions to improve training quality. Immediately after the opening ceremony, the faculties/departments also held meetings with their students and postgraduate candidates to announce the schedule for the first semester of the 2011-2012 academic year.
