The opening ceremony of the 5th training course for lecturers on Ho Chi Minh Thought took place on April 25, 2010, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The course has 39 participants, all of whom are officials currently engaged in research and teaching on Ho Chi Minh Thought in various provinces and cities across the country.
The opening ceremony of the 5th training course for lecturers on Ho Chi Minh Thought took place on April 25, 2010, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The course has 39 participants, all of whom are officials currently engaged in research and teaching on Ho Chi Minh Thought in various provinces and cities across the country.Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Vu Duc Nghieu (Vice Rector of the University) emphasized the important role of those who research and teach about Ho Chi Minh's ideology and hoped that they would contribute to spreading and expanding understanding to everyone, to the whole society, about the beauty and greatness of President Ho Chi Minh's character and thought. Professor Phung Huu Phu (Deputy Head of the Central Committee's Ideology and Culture Department, Head of the Political Science Department) highly appreciated the importance of organizing this course in the current context: "It has been 40 years since President Ho Chi Minh passed away, especially in the context of the current turbulent global situation, the advice that President Ho Chi Minh gave while he was alive continues to prove its guiding value." Phung Huu Phu also stated that teaching and learning about Ho Chi Minh's thought should aim to give people a correct understanding of the country's and international development situation, further igniting the flame of faith in the ultimate victory of the Vietnamese revolution and Ho Chi Minh's thought. In addition, teaching and learning need innovation in methods, especially in the approach to the issues, the way knowledge is imparted, and the two-way exchange between lecturers and students. The course will take place from May to August 2010. The basic knowledge provided to students in this course includes the following contents: - Ho Chi Minh's thought on the national question and the national liberation revolution; - Ho Chi Minh's thought on socialism and the transitional path to socialism in Vietnam; - Ho Chi Minh's thought on national unity and international solidarity; - Ho Chi Minh's thought on the Communist Party of Vietnam; - Ho Chi Minh's thought on democracy; - Ho Chi Minh's thought on the State of the people, by the people, and for the people; - Ho Chi Minh's thought on culture, ethics, and building a new kind of person. In addition, trainees will be introduced to supplementary knowledge on: the state of research on Ho Chi Minh; the value of traditional Vietnamese culture and its influence on Ho Chi Minh; the influence of Western and Eastern cultural values on Ho Chi Minh; the theory and practice of building socialism in the world; some models of the state in the world...
