According to the conclusion of the Principal at the school-wide meeting on May 4, 2010, the units in the school continue to synchronously deploy the tasks of the 2009-2010 school year, completing on schedule the following key tasks in May 2010.
1. Party work, organization, propaganda, and unions
- Party Committee meeting; continue to organize congresses of branches; prepare to organize the 26th Party Congress of the school (June 16-17, 2010); - Organize the 5th Congress of the School's Student Union (May 14-15, 2010); - Complete the Board of Directors of the faculties of Tourism Studies, Literature and Management Science for the 2010-2015 term; - Organize a conference of key officials to deploy the action program to implement the policy of innovation in university education management for the 2010-2012 period and determine the strategic plan for building the school until 2020, with a vision to 2030 (May 8, 2010); - Implement the examination of the titles of Professor and Associate Professor in 2010; - Implement the summer volunteer plan for 2010.
2. Training, student affairs, quality control and inspection
- Organize registration of subjects for semester I, academic year 2010-2011, issue exam schedules for semester II, academic year 2009-2010 for students; - Implement evaluation of 3 years of organizing university training based on credits and objectives, tasks, solutions for the period 2010-2012; - Establish alumni contact committees for K51; - Review the first round of postgraduate entrance exams in 2010; - Announce and prepare the second round of postgraduate entrance exams in 2010.
3. Scientific research and international cooperation
- Organize a school-level student scientific conference; - Sign a research contract in 2010; - Implement the development of a plan and tasks for scientific research activities in 2011
4. Administrative, management and financial work
- Organize the 2010 school key staff conference (May 27-30, 2010), including the following contents:
- Summary of the 2009-2010 school year and determination of the plan for the 2010-2011 school year
- Complete the report on the strategic plan for school construction until 2020, with a vision to 2030;
- Continue to put the organization and management of credit training into depth to improve training quality;
- Expand informal training.
- Renovate and repair school facilities to prepare for the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi and the 65th anniversary of the school's tradition; - Review the 2009 financial statement; - Continue to collect tuition fees for the second semester of the 2009-2010 school year; - Report on the 2009 personal income tax settlement.
5. Some work to do immediately
- Heads of units notify qualified staff to prepare documents and register for the title of Professor and Associate Professor in 2010. - Units submit reports on the implementation of the action program to implement the policy of innovation in university education management in the period of 2010-2012 to the school (through the Training Department). - Units are responsible for organizing final exams for specialized subjects under their units. The Training Department is responsible for organizing final exams for general subjects. - Units should pay attention to reallocating time in subjects, especially practical subjects. - Centers must report on finance and accounting according to the forms and regulations of the competent authorities. The Science and Technology Department is responsible for guiding the implementation. - The Personnel Department proposes a plan to merge the two titles of Training Assistant and Postgraduate Training Assistant into Training Assistant. - The International Training and Training Department organizes the re-editing of the photo section in the English version of the school introduction. - The Administration and Management Department coordinates with units in the school to prepare a plan to repair and equip facilities during the summer. - The Center for Journalism and Communication is responsible for regularly updating the school's website in Vietnamese and coordinating with the Department of International Relations and Cooperation to update the English version; Heads of units are responsible for providing information about their unit's activities. - Vice President - Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Son directs work with VNU on opening the Tourism Studies major code; directs the Faculty of History and the Department of Anthropology to complete the handover work soon. - Vice President - Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu directs the development of projects to improve training and scientific research capacity; the project to build a Psychology Practice Room and the project on training quality assessment.
