To: The Leadership Board of the Faculties/Institutes/DepartmentsBased on Official Letter No. 594/CV-BTP-2023 dated December 6, 2023, from Tien Phong Newspaper and the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund regarding the selection of students to participate in the "Supporting Top Students" program in 2023, the University respectfully requests the Leadership Boards of Faculties/Institutes/Departments to widely inform students about the scholarship application process and register for scholarships according to the following specific details:
Information about the "Supporting Top Students" program:The Vietnam Youth Talent Support Fund was established in 1993, with the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union serving as the Chairman of the Executive Board, and Tien Phong Newspaper as the Fund's Standing Committee. Since its establishment, the Vietnam Youth Talent Support Fund has mobilized organizations and individuals both domestically and internationally to contribute many resources, promptly awarding and supporting talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies.
The "Supporting Top Students" program is an annual activity in the series of events organized by the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund and Tien Phong newspaper. The program aims to honor and award scholarships to top-performing students and high-ranking students entering universities and colleges nationwide who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The "Supporting Top Students 2023" program is expected to be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in January 2024 with many rich and beneficial activities.
Scholarship to Support Top Students in 2023:
- Scholarship quota:100 scholarships will be awarded to top-performing students and those with high entrance exam rankings at universities and colleges nationwide.
- Scholarship value:Each prize includes 10 million dong in cash along with various gifts.
- Scholarship application documents:+ Certificate of top student, or student with a high entrance exam ranking (including entrance exam scores), with confirmation from the school's leadership.
+ Citizen ID card (notarized copy).
+ One of the following certificates: Poverty/Near-Poverty Household Registration Book 2023; Permanent Residence Registration/Confirmation of Residence Information in particularly difficult communes for the period 2021-2025 issued by the Prime Minister; Certificate of Specially Small Ethnic Minority; Certificate of Difficult Circumstances for Families issued by the commune/ward/township level.
+ Certificates of awards from provincial, city, national, and international competitions (if any).
+ Candidate's personal statement: Each candidate will handwrite a letter detailing their family circumstances, their efforts during their studies, and their plans, dreams, and aspirations for future contributions. The letter should include a portrait photo, current address, and phone number for the organizing committee to contact them.
The Heads of Faculties/Institutes/Departments are requested to inform students about this program. Eligible students who wish to register are requested to submit their applications to the University (via the Department of Politics and Student Affairs).
