In the enthusiastic atmosphere of celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 19, 2011, the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management held a ceremony to commemorate its 15th anniversary.Attending the ceremony were representatives from Party and State agencies such as the National Assembly Office, the Government Office, the offices of corporations, and partner institutions such as the University of Internal Affairs, the National Academy of Public Administration, etc. From central agencies, there was Mr. Tran Minh Hoang – Deputy Director of the Archives Department of the Central Party Office, and Mr. Hoang Truong – Deputy Director of the State Archives and Records Department. From Vietnam National University, Hanoi, there was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Nha – Head of the Training Department of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. From the university, there was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim – Vice Rector of the University... along with all lecturers, students, postgraduate students, and alumni of the Faculty of Law, Humanities and Public Administration. Established in 1996 – based on the development of the Archival Studies Department of the Faculty of History – the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has undergone 15 years of development. Throughout these 15 years, the Faculty has consistently been a pioneer and leader among undergraduate and postgraduate training institutions in Vietnam in the field of Archival Studies and Office Management. From its initial 5 staff members, the Faculty's number of full-time and part-time staff has increased sixfold, with 90% holding master's or doctoral degrees. Each year, the Faculty enrolls and trains nearly 100 full-time students, 150-200 part-time students, approximately 25-30 postgraduate students, and 4-5 doctoral candidates. With its proud achievements and aspirations for further progress, the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management always aims for the motto: "training a highly qualified workforce that understands, loves, is proficient in, and is responsible for their profession," in order to contribute to the successful implementation of administrative reform, innovation, integration, and development.
