20 students received the Nguyen Thi Thoa scholarship.

On March 10, 2008, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities awarded the Nguyen Thi Thoa scholarship to 20 students from various faculties and years of study (each scholarship worth 5 million VND). These students came from disadvantaged backgrounds and achieved good academic results in the first semester of the 2007-2008 academic year. Present at the award ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Gia Lam - Vice Rector of the University - along with representatives from various departments and functional units.

This is the second time that students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have received scholarships from Ms. Nguyen Thi Thoa – a benevolent individual who wants to help and encourage studious young people. Last academic year, 10 students from the University received this scholarship. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is also one of more than 10 universities and colleges in Hanoi that have received assistance from Ms. Nguyen Thi Thoa.

At the ceremony, Associate Professor Pham Gia Lam awarded scholarships to the students and delivered a congratulatory speech acknowledging their academic achievements. The scholarship recipients shared their feelings, thoughts, and aspirations regarding their studies and lives with the university leadership.
