Established in 1946 with funding from the U.S. Congress, the Fulbright Program aims to enhance mutual understanding through cultural and educational exchange. It is a competitive program based on merit and merit. Approximately 20-25 scholarships are awarded each year. Since 1992, more than 400 Vietnamese students have participated in the program.

Scholarship recipients will pursue a master's degree program in the United States beginning in the 2010-2011 academic year. The Fulbright Program in Vietnam will find a suitable institution for successful applicants. Scholarship recipients will receive full tuition coverage, a monthly stipend, round-trip airfare to the United States, and health insurance.
The Fulbright Program encourages majors in the social sciences and humanities such as American Literature, American Studies, Education, Communication, Journalism, International Relations, Social Work, Public Policy, Economics, Business Administration, Public Health, Library Science, Public Administration, Teaching English, Gender and Women's Studies, Environmental Studies, Fine Arts and Performing Arts, Law, Information Technology Management and Information Systems, etc. (Please contact the Fulbright Program if your major is not on this list).
To participate in the program, applicants must submit:
5:00 p.m., April 1, 2009 at the Fulbright Student Program, Cultural Information Office, U.S. Embassy, 7 Lang Ha, Dong Da, Hanoi.
Information sessions about the Scholarship Program will be held throughout Vietnam from December 2008 to March 2008.
