On the morning of July 9th, 4,717 candidates took the first subject, Literature, in the university entrance exam for Group C, organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The cool morning weather continued to be favorable for the exam candidates. To avoid traffic jams and to prepare mentally for the exam, many candidates and their families arrived at the exam site early. Ms. Pham Thi Hoa (Hai Duong) said: “My daughter and I arrived at the exam site at 5:30 am, worried about traffic jams so that she could have time to rest.” At 7:15 am, the candidates began the first exam. After two-thirds of the exam time had elapsed, a large number of candidates finished writing and submitted their papers, leaving the exam room with confident and relaxed expressions. Candidate Nguyen Quang Vinh (Thanh Hoa) was one of the first to leave the exam room at the AB building of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Nguyen Quang Vinh happily said: “The exam for Block C this year wasn't too difficult. I had studied all the questions in the curriculum and also practiced and worked on them many times on my own.”

Most candidates, after the exam time ended, shared the opinion that this year's exam was not too difficult and closely followed the textbook curriculum. Candidate Phi Ngoc Viet enthusiastically shared: "This year's Literature exam was normal; even with my average academic ability, I could do it. I'm sure my score will be average or above." Regarding the essay question in this year's exam for Group C, most candidates considered it very good, meaningful, and easy to analyze. When asked about the essay question, candidate Nguyen Truong Thi (Tuyen Quang) said: "The essay question was simple, easy to understand, and very meaningful. In my exam, I developed an analysis and found evidence from two directions, focusing on two specific issues of the question." Most candidates, after finishing the first exam, excitedly left the exam room to prepare for the History exam in the afternoon. Candidate Nguyen Thi Thoa (Thai Nguyen) confided: "I did well in Literature, now I'm more worried about History because there are many events and dates that are difficult to remember." I'll go home and quickly review a bit to prepare for the exam this afternoon. Hopefully, I'll do as well in History as I did in Literature this morning.
