ASEAN - QA awarded certificate of completion of quality culture development project to Ussh

The ASEAN-QA project aims to enhance internal quality assurance capacity in higher education. The program is funded by international organizations: HRK (German University Rectors' Forum), DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), AQAN (ASEAN Quality Assurance Network), AUN (Southeast Asian University Network), ENQA (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education), SEAMEO RIHED (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Council) and Potsdam University (Germany).

The program includes training courses on quality assurance and project implementation at universities in the period 2016 - 2018. Among the 32 universities in Southeast Asia participating in the ASEAN - QA Project Program, there are 6 Vietnamese universities: University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU, Hanoi Foreign Trade University, Danang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Vietnam-Germany University.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities has registered and implemented the project “From self-assessment report to developing quality culture at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities”. The project has three main groups of activities: improving English proficiency for staff and lecturers; conducting online surveys on collecting feedback from learners about the course; and innovating the undergraduate training program in Oriental Studies and Philosophy. The project implementing units include: the Center for Training Quality Assurance, the Department of Personnel Organization, the Faculty of Oriental Studies and the Faculty of Philosophy. The project has achieved certain successes, thereby promoting quality improvement activities according to the recommendations of the AUN-QA external assessment team, contributing to improving the quality culture in the University.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities reported the results of the above project at the ASEAN - QA Project Program Summary Workshop for the period 2016 - 2018 and was awarded a certificate of successful project implementation by the Program. In the coming time, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will continue to implement many activities related to internal quality assurance, propaganda of educational quality assurance activities and implementation of quality culture in the University.
