During the meeting, Professor Pham Quang Minh gave a brief overview of the international cooperation programs of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, focusing on the International Development Studies specialization project jointly developed by the Faculty of International Studies, University College Cork (UCC, Ireland) and the Irish Embassy in Vietnam. After a period of designing the curriculum framework, textbooks, and reference materials, the specialization will officially be launched in September of this year. Through this, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will become the first educational institution in Vietnam to teach this specialization at the Bachelor's level.
On behalf of Ireland, Dr. Jim Fitzpatrick highly appreciated the collaborative efforts between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and its Irish partners. He hoped that these activities would continue to be implemented and strengthened in the future.
