Over 120 out of more than 700 registered students participated in the advanced English communication skills training. The English communication skills course was directly taught by two volunteer instructors from Denmark, part of the International Volunteer Program coordinated by CSDS. The teaching content was based on a curriculum developed by CSDS, covering topics related to common communication situations. Besides the opportunity to practice English communication with international volunteers, students also had the chance to develop and accumulate many other useful soft skills through creative and engaging teaching activities.

The organizing committee of the class, with the Student Affairs Department as the main coordinator, received positive feedback from both students and teachers. The teaching methods, including games and interactive scenarios, along with the youthful and friendly demeanor of the two young lecturers, dispelled the students' initial anxieties. This was also the first time students had directly participated in organizing the class and were able to contribute ideas to improve and adjust the lecture content to suit their abilities and personal development needs. The volunteers also expressed their positive initial impression of the warm welcome and effective organizational support from the university.

On April 6, 2018, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University) welcomed Mr. Don Tuan Phuong, Director and Founder of CSDS Vietnam, representing the university's leadership. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the results achieved and highly appreciated the efforts of the course organizers in realizing the cooperation agreements initiated in November 2017. The university representatives also affirmed their desire for continued and deeper cooperation with CSDS Vietnam, particularly in supporting learners and improving English communication skills. It is expected that after the completion of this course, CSDS will continue to support the university in organizing other courses. Cooperative activities such as welcoming and selecting volunteers for international programs, and awarding scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds will also be gradually explored and implemented.
