The first class took place at 6:00 p.m. in the Hall on the 2nd floor of Building H with a lecture by Mr. Do Hong Khanh - Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Corporate Directors, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bach Dang Company and also a lecturer at the Banking Academy. From very real stories about his life, the difficulties he encountered and his efforts, drawing on his own experiences, Mr. Do Hong Khanh brought to the students profound lessons about the spirit of self-improvement, rising up in life and the qualities needed for a start-up. The class attracted a lot of comments from the students.

Students actively participated in speaking

When asked about the necessary skills of an office worker, Mr. Khanh emphasized the need for precision - something that many students and office workers lack. He also gave advice to students to have the ambition to start a business; practice self-reliance and perseverance, strive to get rich, study and hone available skills and abilities right from university so that when graduating, they can respond promptly to different working environments. Especially at the end of the program, Mr. Khanh gave 5 tickets to visit his "Detrang Farm" to encourage students with the best and most enthusiastic opinions.

Mr. Khanh gave gifts to the enthusiastic students.

The second session of the course took place in Room AB302 with useful skill lessons by Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Phung - Member of the Board of Directors of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs, Former Head of the Department of Archival Studies and Office Administration, Head of the Department of Office Administration. During the session, Ms. Phung shared with students about administrative communication skills, in which she focused on how to communicate and behave appropriately at agencies and in the office administrative environment. By focusing on teaching and practical but interesting stories, her lecture really attracted students to listen attentively and speak enthusiastically.

Associate Professor, Dr. Phung is giving a lecture.

Le Thi Tuyet - Student of K58 LTH shared: “This is a useful lesson, basic knowledge that almost everyone, especially students like me, still lacks. It helps me understand and know how to communicate in work as well as in daily life to improve myself. This is also the necessary knowledge foundation, the luggage for students to be able to step out of the university lecture hall. The most important thing I learned is that a cultured person is someone who always thinks, acts, and behaves to bring good things to themselves and others. If you want others to respect you, you must first respect others.

After completing the course, Nguyen Minh Hieu - K58 LTH also shared: "These two lessons were very useful and gave me a lot of things. I was most impressed with Ms. Phung, Mr. Khanh, and Ms. Dieu Linh, who were very enthusiastic and dedicated in taking the time and effort to open this course..” Hieu shared that normally such skill courses would have to be paid for, but he was able to study for free, so he was very grateful to the teachers in the department, especially Ms. Phung, for creating conditions for him to participate in the course. He also expressed his hope that he would have the opportunity to study more practical skill courses like this.

Hopefully with the success of the course “Skills for Start-ups", the Department of Archival Science and Office Administration will have more practical skills training courses for students and contribute to building a quality human resource team for the future.
