Conference on Reviewing Inspection and Legal Dissemination Work

On November 11, 2015, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, held a conference to summarize the work of legal inspection and dissemination of law in 2015. Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University, attended and chaired the conference.

The conference was attended by nearly 90 delegates representing the leaders of functional departments; centers; the Standing Committee of the Trade Union; representatives of the Standing Committee of the Youth Union and the Student Association of the University; representatives of the leaders of the Faculties; training assistants of various programs; political and student affairs assistants; and part-time inspectors of the units.

In the first part of the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy, Head of the Inspection and Legal Affairs Department, presented the draft report summarizing the inspection and legal affairs work in 2015 and the direction of inspection and legal affairs work in the coming period. The report highlighted the main activities of the School in general and the Inspection and Legal Affairs Department in particular. Despite having only 4 staff members, the Inspection and Legal Affairs Department has always demonstrated a positive, proactive, and flexible spirit in its professional activities. Under the guidance of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors, along with close coordination among the units in the School, the inspection and legal affairs work has achieved many encouraging results, maintaining discipline and order in all aspects, contributing to the completion of the academic year's tasks and the overall development of the School.

Next, Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh, representing the Organization and Personnel Department, presented and introduced 7 newly issued documents, including legal regulations of the State and the Ministry of Education and Training; and management and operational documents of VNU and the University. In particular, the University's Organization and Personnel Department introduced the document on the Regulations on Organization and Operation of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU.Attached is Decision No. 510/QD-XHNV, dated March 5, 2015, of the Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.The regulations consist of 10 chapters and 40 articles. This document provides detailed and comprehensive regulations covering all areas and activities of the University. For the first time since its establishment, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has a separate document regulating its organization and operations.

After listening to the presentations, the Conference held a lively discussion on the contents of the Draft Report summarizing the work of Information and Communication Technology in the 2014-2015 school year; the new points and reached a consensus on the organization and implementation of the legal documents introduced.

Concluding the conference, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim stated: The university's information and communication work has achieved many encouraging results. The core issue of the information and communication work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is self-awareness, a sense of responsibility, genuine understanding and sharing, and close and synchronized coordination between management levels and individual staff members, lecturers, and employees. The university's legal dissemination activities are conducted regularly, with updated content and diverse formats. Heads of units should continue to study the new documents disseminated at this conference to understand them thoroughly, and to ensure that staff members understand and implement them accurately, promptly, and effectively.
