The purpose of this exchange is to create an opportunity for lecturers and students of universities that offer Korean language training to exchange and learn about Korean language and culture through Korean language exchange topics by native experts. The focus here is to improve Korean speaking skills with standard pronunciation and improve the quality of mental life, relieve stress or be a form of psychological therapy through creative entertainment through physical games combining music and dance (recreation). This form is still relatively new to Vietnamese students.

The program content is divided into two following topics:

  • “Speaking and Pronouncing Korean Correctly” is hosted by Ms. Son Bo Young (Former announcer of MBC Mokpo). She shared her experiences in the process of being trained and self-improved to become an announcer. In particular, she emphasized the importance of correct pronunciation, which plays a very important role in conveying information to listeners accurately. Pronouncing each word clearly, pausing in a sentence, a paragraph of information.
  • “Creative entertainment, body movement and laughter” was led by Ms. Jeong Hyeong Ja (full-time lecturer at the Korea Institute of Industrial Economics Lifelong Education). Ms. Jeong Hyeong Ja introduced to the students a science subject that has applications in psychology research and psychotherapy. The concepts were quite new to the students through mental exercises, combining laughter and whole-body movements to bring comfort and self-confidence. The laughter exercises combined hand and foot movements, facial expressions with rhythmic support from music.

The exchange was truly a new experience for the students. Learning Korean and Korean culture is not only about theory but also about close exchange activities, helping to improve spiritual life.
