Not long after the Northern Student Championship, the students of the Nhan Van Vovinam Club have been actively practicing to prepare for the Vovinam tournament within the framework of the 2017 Capital Sports Festival, which is only held once every four years.
Coming to this tournament, in conjunction with Vovinam Ba Dinh Club and Vovinam Greenwich Club, the Club will compete in both performances and combat programs. These are solo exercises, dual exercises, four-part combat, especially foot attacks - the "main dish" in Vovinam.
Besides the familiar faces who have achieved many high achievements in previous tournaments such as “Vovinam Nhân Văn beauty” Nguyen Thanh Huyen – student of K58 Social Work (won Gold Medal in Dragon Tiger and Bronze Medal in Combat) or Pham Thi Oanh – student of K59 International Studies (won Gold Medal in Female Self-Defense)… there are also some new faces competing in the combat category. Although they have not been practicing for long, many of them are still determined to participate to gain more experience for future tournaments.
This tournament promises to be a big challenge for the Vovinam Nhan Van Club because this is the first congress that the club has participated in after 3 years of establishment, when the tournament gathered many students from many strong units throughout the capital. Hopefully, the students of the Vovinam Club will continue to reap many medals in this tournament season to add to the club's achievements in 2017.

The Vovinam tournament is part of the 9th Capital Sports Festival (2017) organized by the Hanoi Department of Sports and Physical Training and the Hanoi Vovinam Federation. It will take place over 3 days (September 25-27, 2017) including performances and competitions held at Trinh Hoai Duc Stadium (Hanoi). |
