The Nhan Van Vovinam Club had another successful season in 2017.

Representing Ba Dinh district, the Nhan Van Vovinam Club (in collaboration with the Ba Dinh Vovinam Club and the Greenwich Vovinam Club) participated in the Hanoi city-wide Vovinam tournament under the guidance of coach Ho Quang Hoa. After three days of competition, all three clubs won 4 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 7 bronze medals. Specifically, the Nhan Van Vovinam Club won 4 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal in both the performance and sparring categories.

Specifically:

Gold medals include:

• Pair Training 3: "The Nezha Couple" - Athletes Nguyen Thi Minh Chau (K60 Anthropology) - Pham Thi Oanh (K59 International Studies).
• Dragon Tiger Fist: Athlete Nguyen Thanh Huyen (K58 Social Work).
• Attacking leg techniques: athletes Nguyen Duc Thanh (GVC Club) - Tran Van Thuan - Le Van Tu (Ba Dinh Club) - Pham Tien Dat (Ba Dinh Club).
• Opponent: Athlete Nguyen Thi Thu Hien (K60 Journalism) (63kg weight category).

The silver medals include:

• Men's multi-purpose weapons training: athletes Tran Van Thuan - Le Van Tu - Nguyen Duc Long (Ba Dinh Club) - Nguyen Cong Van.
• Opponent: Athlete Truong Dinh Tien (K60 Sociology) (45kg weight class), Athlete Pham Bang Suong (K61 Public Relations) (42kg weight class).
• Bronze medal: In the combat category, athlete Tran Bich Huong (K60 Oriental Studies) (54kg weight class).

This year's tournament brought together many strong clubs from districts and counties within Hanoi such as Chuong My, Thach That, Thanh Tri… bringing many surprises and emotions to the tournament with many beautiful techniques.

The Hanoi Sports Festival is held every four years, and fortunately, Vovinam – Vietnamese martial arts – is included as one of the competitive events. The athletes competing in this year's tournament truly had the opportunity to give their all and achieved many high-ranking results, well-deserved for a competition held only every four years.

The attacking leg kicks – the most anticipated event of the tournament.

Four athletes, including Le Van Tu, Nguyen Duc Thanh, Nguyen Cong Van, and Tran Van Thuan, participated in the leg attack.

Athlete Nguyen Thanh Huyen continued her winning streak, securing her second gold medal of the year with the Long Ho Quyen (Dragon Tiger Fist) routine. Prior to this, Huyen had won a gold medal at the Northern Vietnam University Student Championship organized by FPT University.

The golden duo Pham Thi Oanh and Nguyen Minh Chau continued their winning streak with the Song Luyen 3 routine.

Despite having very little time to practice, the four boys still excelled and won the silver medal in the men's multi-weapon performance category.
