Hello K62 Vietnam Studies

In addition to the teachers and students of the Faculty, the ceremony was also attended by Dr. Duong Van Huy (Institute of Southeast Asian Studies - Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences) and representatives of the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

After the welcoming speech of Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thien Nam (Dean of the Faculty), the new students watched two special videos. While the first video introduced the history of the Faculty's formation and development in a systematic way, the second video - a gift from the seniors dedicated to K62, brought to the viewers a different image of VSL: youthful, dynamic and attractive.

The art program contributed to prolonging the exciting atmosphere of the ceremony with exciting performances by K61 and K62, forcing the Head of the Department to show off his talent in singing Nghe Tinh folk songs in response.

The greeting of the representative of Vietnamese students studying abroad was also a highlight of the program.

Next was the award ceremony for new students. The Faculty Board presented gifts to 11 students with the highest scores in the recent entrance exam.

At the same time, the Faculty also prepared small but meaningful gifts for all K62 students. On this occasion, the Faculty also held a program to honor students Pham Thi Thom (K59) and Dr. Duong Van Huy. In the last school year, the research work "Rescue policy at sea under the reigns of King Gia Long - Minh Mang" by Pham Thi Thom, under the guidance of Dr. Duong Van Huy (Institute of Southeast Asian Studies), won the first prize in student scientific research at the Hanoi National University. In his speech of thanks, Dr. Duong Van Huy commented: "Thanks to being provided with a systematic and methodical system of Vietnamese studies knowledge, the students of the Faculty really impressed me with their clear, coherent thinking and passion for science".

With the spirit of integration, solidarity and humanity, the Opening Ceremony welcoming K62 signals a new school year that promises many successes for the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language when Hanoi is entering its most beautiful Autumn days.
