Attending the opening ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Huong (Head of the Student Affairs and Activities Department, Vietnam National University, Hanoi), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Mr. Ho Quang Loi (Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association), and Dr. Doan Thi Thuan (Head of the Press and Publishing Department, Central Propaganda Department). Notably, the ceremony was also attended by Professor Ha Minh Duc (the first Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication), a teacher of many generations of students and trainees in the faculty, a renowned scientist who has received the Ho Chi Minh Prize, the State Prize for Science and Technology, and the State Prize for Literature and Arts.

The opening ceremony was an opportunity for a reunion of many generations of teachers and scientists from the Faculty. In her opening ceremony speech, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Head of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication) extended a welcome to the 148 new students, young people who had successfully passed nearly 2,000 applications to become students of the 62nd cohort of the Faculty, with an impressively high entrance score of 26.5 points for both Journalism and Public Relations majors.
Over the years, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication has been striving to innovate and elevate its research and training activities in journalism and communication to meet regional and international standards. Studying and training in a leading journalism research and training environment in Vietnam, students not only gain access to and receive foundational knowledge in social sciences and humanities – crucial background knowledge that helps journalists create impactful articles with cultural depth and comprehensive social understanding – but also receive direct mentorship from skilled journalists. The Faculty, the University, and society expect that in the future, these students will become genuine journalists and communicators, providing society with accurate, objective, and impartial information. They will not only be skilled journalists with impeccable professional ethics, but also possess strong political convictions, knowing how to disseminate noble ideas and promote humanistic values in society.

Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong received a Certificate of Commendation from the Vietnam Journalists Association for her outstanding achievements in the Association's work.

Associate Professor Dr. Duong Xuan Son, on behalf of the Journalists' Association of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, received a certificate of commendation from the Vietnam Journalists Association.
Speaking on behalf of the University's leadership, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan stated: The Faculty of Journalism and Communication has always been at the forefront of the University's innovation initiatives, not only holding a high position within the University but also building prestige and a strong brand in society. Students in the Journalism and Public Relations majors consistently demonstrate dynamism and active participation in academic, research, and social activities. With these foundations, the University expects and believes in even more outstanding achievements from the faculty and students of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication in the coming academic year.
