At the meeting, the leaders of the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on training cooperation. Accordingly, the School will receive and train 2 Chinese students each year for Ha Giang province to study for a bachelor's degree in Vietnamese Studies or Linguistics. These students are selected within the framework of the educational cooperation program between Ha Giang province and the provinces of Guangxi and Yunnan of China. The cooperation activities between the School and the Department of Education of Ha Giang are implemented on the basis of the bilateral cooperation agreement between Hanoi National University and Ha Giang province officially signed in 2011.
Mr. Nguyen The Binh (Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ha Giang province) and Vice Principal Hoang Anh Tuan signed the training cooperation minutes.
During the meeting, Mr. Nguyen The Binh said that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a prestigious university with a tradition of training in social sciences and humanities, and has experience in implementing many training cooperation programs with localities across the country. Therefore, the cooperation between the University and the Department of Education and Training of Ha Giang will bring positive results in improving the quality of human resources in the province. In the coming time, Ha Giang province also requested the University to support the training of staff in the fields of Social Work and Tourism and Travel Services Management. In the future, the two sides also have great potential to promote cooperation in postgraduate training or implement short-term training courses for Ha Giang province's staff.
Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan also expressed his joy when the School had the opportunity to cooperate and support Ha Giang province in staff training. The Vice President also hoped that the two sides would regularly have a close relationship, on the basis of coordinating to review and assess the province's human resource needs to develop training content in line with the planning and development goals of Ha Giang. With a team of leading scientists in many fields, the School hopes to be able to promote cooperation activities in the field of scientific research, policy advice for leaders and people of Ha Giang province on many issues: livelihood, ethnic groups, tourism development, social development, cultural preservation and development, promoting endogenous strengths for development... Transferring the application of scientific and technological knowledge for local development is also an important direction of the School's activities in the present and future.
