An opportunity to participate in a course worth $15,000.

The Faculty of Journalism and Communication (University of Social Sciences and Humanities), in collaboration with the "Enhancing the Capacity of Young Vietnamese Journalists" Project (funded by the US Embassy), will organize a training course on journalistic skills in November 2011, with a total value of USD 15,000. The focus of the training course is to enhance practical knowledge and operational skills for journalism and communication students in particular, and students interested in and passionate about this field in general.
The Faculty of Journalism and Communication (University of Social Sciences and Humanities), in collaboration with the "Enhancing the Capacity of Young Vietnamese Journalists" Project (funded by the US Embassy), will organize a training course on journalistic skills in November 2011, with a total value of USD 15,000. The focus of the training course is to enhance practical knowledge and operational skills for journalism and communication students in particular, and students interested in and passionate about this field in general.This is the third year that the project, funded by the US Embassy, ​​has collaborated with the Faculty of Journalism & Communication. However, it is the first year that, in addition to improving writing skills, the course will focus on training and developing operational skills and photo editing for students. A photo exhibition with attractive prizes for participating students will be held at the end of the course. Presenting and guiding students during the sessions are experienced professionals in journalism such as Mr. De David Frogier de Ponlevoy, a proofreader and trainer for VOV5 and VOV1 of the Voice of Vietnam, and photographer Doan Bao Chau, who has photographed for major news agencies and newspapers such as Associated Press, Reuters, the New York Times, and Forbes. In addition, there will be participation from journalists and journalism experts such as Dr. [Name of expert]. Pham Minh Son (Head of the Department of International Relations - Academy of Journalism and Communication), Master Tran Le Thuy, Mr. Le Quoc Minh (Editor-in-Chief of VietnamPlus, an online newspaper reporting on Vietnam and the world in 5 languages, and the first and only media agency to date with a license to publish news on telecommunications networks in Vietnam)... The course will be held on Saturdays and Sundays, from November 5th to December 3rd, 2011.
