The Global Conference on Social Work and Social Development will be held in Stockholm, Sweden from 8-12 July 2012. This conference is expected to welcome researchers, educators, policy makers and social service organizations in the field of social work and social development. The main purpose of the conference is to introduce and share new perspectives, knowledge as well as share lessons of success and failure in the field of social work and social development globally.The Conference Organizing Committee is currently sending out invitations to write articles to attend the Conference on the following topics:

Time to submit article summarybefore November 30, 2011. Participants can present in one of two formats: oral presentation or poster presentation.
Instructions for writing an article summaryThe abstract should include an overview of the research problem, objectives, a brief description of the methods, results, and conclusions. The abstract should aim to answer the following questions:
- What is the research problem and what are the research objectives?
- What methods does the author use to solve the problem?
- What are the main results of the study?
- What can be learned from these research results?
Evaluation criteria for article summaryThe following criteria will be used to assess the appropriateness of summaries, including on issues of practice, policy and service.
- Suitability: Is the topic appropriate to the content of the Conference?
- Contribution of knowledge:Does the summary build on and extend previous theories/research or share practical experiences?
- Creation:Are the research results up-to-date, innovative and geared towards promoting social work and social development?
- Clarity:Is the summary clear and covers essential information?
