On the afternoon of January 14, 2013, Dr. Matthew Hibberd (Head of the Department of Film, Media and Journalism - University of Stirling - Scotland) visited and worked with the Faculty of Journalism and Communication. The visit was part of the cooperation activities between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Stirling, specifically between the two faculties specializing in journalism and communication.
On the afternoon of January 14, 2013, Dr. Matthew Hibberd (Head of the Department of Film, Media and Journalism - University of Stirling - Scotland) visited and worked with the Faculty of Journalism and Communication. The visit was part of the cooperation activities between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Stirling, specifically between the two faculties specializing in journalism and communication.Besides discussions on prospects for cooperation between the two faculties, on this occasion, Dr. Matthew Hibberd presented the Faculty of Journalism and Communication with nearly 40 books of diverse content. These ranged from books specializing in operational skills in television, radio, photojournalism, public relations, and advertising, to in-depth research on the influence of mass media on popular culture, as well as issues of gender and violence in society. These are all books and textbooks currently used in teaching at Stirling University. Dr. Hibberd's visit further strengthened the relationship between the two faculties and strongly affirmed Stirling University's willingness to cooperate with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Dr. Matthew Hibberd stated that he will continue to donate books to the Faculty during his next visit to Vietnam.
