Dialogue between school leaders and students
The annual dialogue between the university leadership and students of all cohorts was held on November 27, 2011. Attendees included representatives from the Board of Directors, heads of functional departments, faculties, the Youth Union, and the Student Association. Many questions were compiled, and dozens were directly raised in the meeting hall. The university leadership listened, discussed, and answered these questions directly with the students.Issues related to policies, tuition fee exemption procedures, loan procedures, and scholarship applications remain top concerns for students. Mr. Pham Quang Vu, Deputy Head of the Political and Student Affairs Department, answered students' questions based on the regulations regarding tuition fee exemptions under Government Decree 49. Regarding loan procedures in particular, Mr. Pham Quang Vu stated that the Political and Student Affairs Department will always provide guidance and facilitate the loan application process for students from the local Social Policy Bank and UOB Bank to support their studies and achieve the best possible results. Regarding training, the number of general questions submitted through the Political and Student Affairs Department decreased compared to last year. However, the number of direct questions from students remains quite high, and this is always a key focus of the annual dialogue between the university leadership and students. Some of the students' questions were addressed in the regulations of the Training Department, which clearly state that students should refer to the training regulations on the University's website and the university's training portal. Some students from the K53 cohort raised concerns regarding credit-based training, the percentage of graduates with good and excellent grades, and public feedback on the quality of student training at the University. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Son – Vice Rector – stated: The percentage of graduates with good and excellent grades at the University remains relatively stable each year, and students should not be confused or worried by unsubstantiated and unverified information. The Vice Rector hopes and believes that students will always confidently demonstrate their abilities and knowledge acquired during their studies, affirming their own capabilities as well as the prestige and quality of the University's training.

In addition, there were several other questions regarding the recognition of foreign language certificates, maximizing the effectiveness of credit-based classes, course registration, etc. Regarding scientific research, some suggested that the university should organize seminars to guide students on how to prepare research proposals, thereby enhancing students' awareness of the importance of scientific research activities. And concerning the administrative and management aspects of the university, students reflected on the limited equipment for foreign language learning, the availability of student restrooms, and the sometimes inappropriate attitudes of staff. Responding to these concerns, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu – Vice Rector, along with Head of Administration and Management Department Dang Ngoc Trai, stated that while the equipment for foreign language learning is provided by the University of Foreign Languages, to create the best possible learning environment for students, the university will discuss and agree with the University of Foreign Languages to provide additional learning equipment. They will also maintain and service the computers in the computer lab to support student learning and internet access. In particular, in the near future, the facilities will be upgraded and the garden area of building A will be renovated. Several other major activities of the University also attracted much student interest and discussion, including: Party and union work, postgraduate training, international relations, quality accreditation… All student questions were directly answered by representatives of the relevant departments, who affirmed that if students needed more specific information, they could contact the relevant departmental staff directly for complete and detailed information. Some suggestions were further researched and considered by the University leadership to soon provide appropriate solutions. At the end of the dialogue, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Kim Son – representing the presidium – suggested that students should carefully study the training regulations to be more proactive and avoid unnecessary questions. At the same time, Assoc. Prof. The Vice Rector also encouraged students to continue to exchange ideas and provide feedback on various issues to the Board of Directors and functional departments, contributing to further improving the quality and effectiveness of the school's activities.
