On December 2nd, 2011, to celebrate the 36th National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a cordial meeting with nearly 20 Lao students and trainees studying in the following departments: Archival Studies and Office Management, Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, Linguistics, etc. Attending the meeting were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Thi Phung - Head of the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management, and representatives from the Political and Student Affairs Office. On behalf of the University leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu congratulated and shared his feelings with the Lao students and postgraduate trainees studying in Vietnam on the occasion of the Lao People's Democratic Republic's National Day. The Vice Rector extended his best wishes for good health to all Lao students and expressed his hope that they would strive to study well, complete their programs, return to their country, contribute to the development of Laos, and foster the strong friendship between Vietnam and Laos. Following this, the school's leaders, faculty, and functional departments also discussed and addressed some difficulties in life and studies to create the most favorable conditions for Lao students. The Lao students all expressed their honor, pride, and gratitude for the school's affection and concern for the students.
