On the morning of June 19, 2013, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) met and worked with People's Artist Le Khanh (Deputy Director of the Youth Theatre).
During the meeting, the Youth Theatre proposed a collaboration with the university to develop a project bringing theatre and theatrical arts to the classroom, bringing artists closer to students, and through performing arts activities, helping to enhance artistic aesthetics and develop a healthy spiritual life for young people. In addition, the project also helps artists connect more closely with young audiences and their lives, thereby finding directions and ways of expression that are more suitable to the audience's understanding and aesthetics.
Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated the positive significance of the project, affirming that if implemented, it would bring positive benefits to students and the development of the University. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities currently has a Faculty of Literature with a long tradition of research on literary theory, art, classic works and authors, and a student drama club that has been quite effective for many years. These are excellent foundations and conditions to help the University successfully cooperate with the Youth Theatre and other art units in general in implementing this project.
Both sides have initially proposed several feasible cooperation ideas for the future: organizing theater exhibitions and performances at the School; organizing professional seminars or talks between students and artists; the Youth Theatre providing professional support to the School's student drama club; integrating student performing arts activities with core curriculum subjects; organizing regular theater festivals or drama performances with the participation of professional artists and students…
