On the morning of June 19, 2013, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) received and worked with People's Artist Le Khanh (Vice Director of the Youth Theater).
At the meeting, the Youth Theater proposed to cooperate with the School to develop a project to bring theater and dramatic arts to the classroom, bring artists closer to students and through performing arts activities, help improve artistic aesthetics and develop a healthy spiritual life for young people. In addition, the project also helps artists get closer to the young audience and to life, thereby finding a direction and way of expression that is more suitable to the perception and aesthetics of the audience.
Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated the good meaning of the above project, affirming that if the project is implemented, it will bring positive benefits to students and the development of the University. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities currently has a Faculty of Literature with a long tradition of research on literary theory, art, classic works and authors, etc., and a Student Drama Club that has been operating quite effectively for many years. These are very good foundations and conditions to help the University successfully cooperate with the Youth Theater and art units in general in implementing this project.
The two sides have initially proposed some feasible cooperation ideas in the coming time: organizing drama exhibitions and drama performances at the School; organizing professional seminars or talks between students and artists; Youth Theater providing professional support to the School's student drama club; linking student performing arts activities with major subjects; organizing stage festivals or periodic drama performances with the participation of professional artists and students...
