To ensure the program ran smoothly and meaningfully, Vietnamese students made very thorough preparations, from reception activities to cultural performances and exchanges. This year's exchange program attracted many students from various years of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, especially first-year students.

During the program, international students watched a short film introducing the formation and development of the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, and participated in cultural exchange activities featuring familiar songs that young Vietnamese people love. Immediately afterwards, the students were also guided through the procedures and regulations for studying Vietnamese at the Department.

In addition, Vietnamese students in the Faculty also introduced to international students some historical sites in Hanoi, and traditional folk cultural features such as Cheo, Xam, Ca Tru, Hat Van...

Wu Zaoyang, a Chinese student attending the exchange event, shared: "I find the Vietnamese girls very beautiful and they sing very well. The Vietnamese students are very enthusiastic and dynamic."

Thanh Binh, a third-year student, also shared: “The Department of Vietnamese Studies is one of the departments with a large number of international students studying and researching. In the 2016-2017 academic year, the department welcomed over 50 international students from various countries. They are sociable, cheerful, and dynamic, showing a love for the Vietnamese language and culture. I believe that the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, a department with a long tradition of training foreigners in Vietnamese studies, will certainly help them discover the beauty and essence of the Vietnamese nation. I also hope there will be more opportunities for me and other Vietnamese students to meet and chat with international students like in today's exchange.”

At the end of the program, the Faculty also officially announced the fanpage of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language. The purpose of the page is to provide information and assistance to students and international students in matters of daily life, studies, and relationship counseling… We hope that the fanpage will be a tool for Vietnamese students to connect more closely with international students.

On this occasion, Vietnamese students also presented handmade gifts to all the foreign students. Although they were small gifts, they contained the affection of the Vietnamese students for their fellow international students. On Thieu Huy, a Chinese student who has been studying Vietnamese for two years in China, shared: "The flowers you made look just like real flowers, I really like them."

Through this event, the students all expressed their desire for more enriching and engaging activities among students from many countries around the world who share a passion for the Vietnamese language and culture.
