Professor Nguyen Van Kim affirmed the merits and contributions of the veterans to the cause of national liberation as well as the scientific and educational work of the University over the years. With more than 40 members, the University's Veterans Association is a strong unit of the City Association, with many scientists and teachers holding high academic ranks and degrees, and many holding important positions in the Party Committee and the government. Not only have they contributed their intellect and dedication through lectures and research projects, but the teachers have also helped to awaken the tradition of patriotism and beautiful ideals in generations of students and trainees through their own exemplary lives and valuable experiences and lessons learned from those who lived through the war years.

Over the years, the School's Veterans Association has received numerous commendations from the Hanoi City Veterans Association for its outstanding achievements in association work.
