The head of the Quality Assessment Delegation for the Hotel Management program was Dr. Dinh Van Toan; the head of the Quality Assessment Delegation for the Public Relations program was Dr. Bui Vu Anh.

In the first working session, the delegation listened to representatives from each unit briefly introduce their respective units and present the results of their self-assessments of the Hotel Management and Public Relations training programs.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Huyen - Head of the PR-Advertising Department, the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, formerly the Faculty of Journalism of Hanoi University, was established in 1990. The Institute currently offers a standard Bachelor's program in Journalism, a standard Bachelor's program in Public Relations, and a high-quality program in Journalism; two Master's programs in Journalism (research and application oriented), one Master's program in Media Management, and one Doctoral program in Journalism.

The Public Relations major first began admitting students in 2013. Over the years, it has been one of the most attractive majors, with relatively high entrance scores compared to the general average. The Public Relations curriculum comprises 136 credits, including general knowledge (16 credits), field-specific knowledge (29 credits), subject-specific knowledge (27 credits), group-specific knowledge (15 credits), and specialized knowledge (49 credits). During the training process, in addition to classroom instruction, the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training emphasizes extracurricular activities, internships, and practical experience for students, building a network of alumni to provide professional support and job placement assistance. According to surveys, over 66% of Public Relations students have found employment before graduation, and nearly 100% have jobs in their field within three months of graduation.

Dr. Pham Hong Long – Head of the Tourism Department – presented the self-assessment report on the Hotel Management program.
According to Dr. Pham Hong Long, Head of the Faculty of Tourism Studies, the Faculty of Tourism Studies was established in 1990. In September 2015, the curriculum for the Hotel Management major was issued, and in November 2019, the curriculum framework was revised and updated. The Hotel Management major has been enrolling and training students since the 2015-2016 academic year; as of the 2020-2021 academic year, the Faculty has trained six cohorts of Hotel Management students, two of whom have graduated, totaling 500 students. Over the years, this has also been one of the majors that receives the most applications for university entrance exams each year. The Hotel Management curriculum is built on the foundation of inheriting the university's training traditions and incorporating the best practices from tourism and hotel management programs at leading universities worldwide. The program aims to equip students with comprehensive knowledge, skills, and a professional work attitude to meet the future workforce needs of the hotel industry.

Following the opening session, the evaluation team conducted interviews with unit leaders, lecturers, and support staff at the university and faculty levels; and gathered feedback from employers, students, and alumni of the Public Relations and Hotel Management programs. The team also reviewed and assessed supporting documents and inspected the current state of facilities serving training.

In the closing session, the representative of the External Evaluation Team presented a preliminary report on the initial evaluation results of the Public Relations and Hotel Management programs. The team highly appreciated the professionalism in the school's preparation and its active cooperation with the External Evaluation Team in completing a considerable amount of work in just two working days.

The delegation also affirmed that the two training programs were developed in the leading training center for social sciences and humanities in the country, thus inheriting many advantages from the tradition and long history of research and training activities of the University, coupled with the innovative efforts of the training units in recent years. Besides praising the preparation and the serious and meticulous construction of the self-assessment reports, the delegation also highlighted the strengths and areas for improvement in the training programs of the two majors – summarized and evaluated from the perspective of employers, students, alumni, etc.

On behalf of the school's leadership, Vice Rector Tran Thi Minh Hoa highly appreciated the serious, objective, and meticulous work of the external evaluation team. This helped the training units and the school gain a clearer understanding of the strengths and weaknesses that need to be addressed in their training activities. The school not only focuses on quality assessment and accreditation but also pays attention to post-accreditation evaluation, creating improvements and innovations based on the feedback received. This further enhances the quality of training, ensuring that graduates better meet the demands of the domestic and regional labor markets, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources to serve national development in the era of integration.

Thus, in 2020, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities completed the quality assessment of the Political Science program according to AUN standards; the peer assessment of the programs in Management Science, Office Administration, Social Work, Public Relations, and Hotel Management; and the accreditation of the Archival Studies program according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training. Therefore, during the period 2016-2020, the University completed the task assigned by the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, which was to assess and accredit the quality of all undergraduate programs, including completing the quality assessment of 8 programs according to AUN standards.
