On April 13, 2011, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication organized the 2010 Student Scientific Conference. There were 05 topics presented by student groups at the Conference.This year's scientific topics focused on new issues of practical life in journalism and media. The highlight was the report "Studying the radio broadcasting model on mobile phones using 3G technology: a case study of Viettel" by author Vu Thuy Linh. The critical comments and feedback at the Conference from teachers helped students realize the importance of scientific research and knowledge seeking activities. The Conference was also an opportunity for young people to learn more research methods and make appropriate investments in scientific research. After the presentations and discussions, the Organizing Committee announced the results and awarded prizes to the topics with excellent results:
- 01 first prize: "Research on mobile radio broadcasting model using 3G technology, Viettel case study" by author Vu Thuy Linh (class K52).
- 02 second prizes: + "War in photos winning the photo of the year award, world press photo award from 1955 to 2010" by author Le Thi Thu Huyen (class K54) + "Organizing events in promoting corporate brands (studying the Canon event - smart prism and quick-composed photos of Canon Photo Marathon of Canon company 2010)" by author Nguyen Thi Hien (class K52).
- 02 third prizes: "Using keywords on electronic newspapers" by author Vu Tien Thanh (class K54). + "The face of Vietnamese education in 2010 through the press" by authors Tran Thuy Ngan and Duong Nguyen Da Oanh (class K53).
