On April 13, 2011, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication held its 2010 Student Scientific Conference. Five topics were presented by student groups at the conference.This year's scientific research topics focused on new issues in the practical life of journalism and media. A highlight was the report "Understanding the model of mobile phone broadcasting using 3G technology: a case study of Viettel" by author Vu Thuy Linh. The critical comments and feedback from the professors at the conference helped students understand the importance of scientific research and knowledge acquisition. The conference also provided an opportunity for young people to learn more about research methods and make appropriate investments in scientific research. After the presentations and discussions, the Organizing Committee announced the results and awarded prizes to the outstanding research projects.
- 01 First Prize: "Understanding the model of mobile phone broadcasting using 3G technology, a case study of Viettel" by author Vu Thuy Linh (K52 class).
- Two second prizes: + "War in the winning photos of the year, World Press Photo Awards from 1955 to 2010" by Le Thi Thu Huyen (Class K54) + "Event organization in corporate brand promotion (exploring the Canon event - smart lens and Canon Photo Marathon 2010)" by Nguyen Thi Hien (Class K52).
- Two third prizes: "Using keywords in online newspapers" by Vu Tien Thanh (Class K54) and "The face of Vietnamese education in 2010 through the press" by Tran Thuy Ngan and Duong Nguyen Da Oanh (Class K53).
