This is the 6th Korean language training course for outstanding Samsung Vietnam employees.

Following the success of previous Korean language courses, Samsung Electronics Vietnam continued its cooperation and held the opening ceremony for a Korean language course for its outstanding employees this morning (June 20, 2016) at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. This is the second course organized this year.

This is the 6th Korean language training course for outstanding Samsung Vietnam employees.

Attending the opening ceremony, on behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University; and Dr. Luu Tuan Anh, Head of the Department of Oriental Studies. On behalf of the partner company, Samsung Electronics Vietnam, were Mr. Cho Ho Seok, General Director of Administration and Human Resources; Mr. Kim Chi U, Head of Human Resources; Mr. Lai Hoan Dung, Head of Training Department; along with lecturers from the Department of Oriental Studies and outstanding students from Samsung Electronics Bac Ninh.

Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, Vice Rector of the University, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Nguyen Van Kim shared his joy at attending the opening ceremony of the short-term Korean language course for outstanding employees of Samsung Electronics Vietnam today. This is the sixth time the Korean Studies Department of the University has been trusted by the company to cooperate in organizing training for them.

Professor Nguyen Van Kim highly praised the vision of the leaders of Samsung Electronics Vietnam, who have created favorable conditions for outstanding employees to study and master languages. This is the key to success, understanding, and acquiring international knowledge.

The Korean Studies Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, with over 20 years of development, has risen to the top position nationwide, becoming a research and training center for the Korean language highly regarded by many Korean experts. To select, train, and nurture the most outstanding students, the department only admits approximately 20 to 30 full-time students each year.

The majority of the faculty and staff are young and dynamic, with high-quality, well-trained personnel. To date, previous training courses have received very positive feedback regarding the work ethic and training quality of the faculty members.

As a leading training institution in the field of social sciences and humanities nationwide, the University always desires greater cooperation with the company. Through this cooperation, the University's lecturers will improve their skills, and students will have more opportunities for internships and employment with the company.

Professor Nguyen Van Kim also sent a message to the outstanding employees of Samsung Electronics Vietnam Bac Ninh: "Our ancestors had a saying, 'Hard work leads to success.' In the next 12 weeks of training, I hope that you trainees will be determined to turn this challenge into an opportunity to take flight, master the language, and contribute to the company's development."

Mr. Cho Ho Seok, General Manager of Human Resources and Administration, is giving a speech at the opening ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Cho Ho Seok, General Director of Human Resources and Administration at Samsung Electronic, expressed his gratitude to the school for its cooperation in training the company's staff. He noted that the trainees in this course are outstanding individuals who could potentially become core management personnel at Samsung Vietnam in Bac Ninh in the future.

During the upcoming training period, trainees need to demonstrate a diligent and proactive learning spirit to maximize the effectiveness of their studies over the three months. After completing the course, they should bring the knowledge gained back to effectively serve the company's operations.

"You need to realize that you have a very good opportunity to study at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, a school with a rich tradition and renowned for its Korean language training, along with a team of enthusiastic and dedicated lecturers. If you don't study well, it's your own fault," said Mr. Cho Ho Seok.

Mr. Cho Ho Seok also hopes that you will always maintain your love for the Korean language and strive to achieve a minimum overall score of 70 points."

Ms. Nguyen Minh Chung, the class teacher, is introducing the learning process for the next 12 weeks to the students.

The short-term Korean language course for outstanding employees of Samsung Electronics Vietnam will take place over 12 consecutive weeks. The target outcome for participants upon completion of the course is to achieve Level 4.

During the course, students will attend three consecutive sessions each day, totaling 10 hours of study. Assessments and evaluations are conducted continuously. A short 5-10 minute quiz will be given at the beginning of each session daily. A one-hour quiz will be held every two weeks, and a comprehensive monthly assessment will cover all listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

The results of the weekly review and evaluation process will be relayed back to company leadership.
