Signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Bulgaria.

In early September, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa, Vice Rector of the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities, was part of a high-level delegation of the Vietnamese Government led by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan on an official visit to the Republic of Bulgaria.During this visit, on September 4, 2012, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, Bulgarian Minister of Culture Vejdi Rashidov, and Bulgarian Minister of Education, Youth and Science Sergei Ignatov, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa signed a cooperation agreement between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and Sofia University (Bulgaria). According to this agreement, the two sides will promote academic exchange and cooperation in training and research projects. Specific cooperation activities include: exchange of teaching and research staff, especially in the fields of Vietnamese and Bulgarian languages; exchange of scientists and managers in various fields; exchange of undergraduate and postgraduate students; exchange of scientific information and documents; and participation in training and academic activities of mutual interest. In particular, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will assist in establishing a Vietnamese language department at Sofia University.
