Students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities receive Lotte scholarships.

On September 18, 2012, the Lotte Foundation Scholarship Fund held a scholarship awarding ceremony for students from universities in Hanoi for the 2012-2013 academic year. This was the 10th time the Lotte Group has awarded scholarships to 46 outstanding students from universities such as: Vietnam National University, Hanoi (University of Foreign Languages, University of Economics, University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Hanoi University, Foreign Trade University, Hanoi University of Technology, University of Civil Engineering, National Economics University, etc.
On September 18, 2012, the Lotte Foundation Scholarship Fund held a scholarship awarding ceremony for students from universities in Hanoi for the 2012-2013 academic year. This was the 10th time the Lotte Group has awarded scholarships to 46 outstanding students from universities such as: Vietnam National University, Hanoi (University of Foreign Languages, University of Economics, University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Hanoi University, Foreign Trade University, Hanoi University of Technology, University of Civil Engineering, National Economics University, etc.This is also the first year that the Lotte Scholarship Fund has offered scholarships to engineering fields such as electronics and telecommunications, construction, and information technology, instead of only for cultural, language, and economics fields as in previous years. In Hanoi, the total value of scholarships for the 2012-2013 academic year for universities is $27,600. At the ceremony, Mr. Lee Jong Kook - General Director of Lotte Center Hanoi - congratulated the students with outstanding achievements and encouraged them to strive even harder for their own future as well as for the future of the country. Mr. Lee also stated that Mr. Shin Kyuk Ho - the founding chairman of the Lotte Group - has always been interested in investing in and supporting education, not only in Korea but also in countries where the group operates, including Vietnam - one of its most important target markets. Through this scholarship program, Lotte Group hopes to contribute to the good friendship between South Korea and Vietnam. Representatives from Lotte also expressed their hope that outstanding students will join the Group's subsidiaries in the near future. In South Korea, Lotte is the 5th largest economic group. With the ambition to become one of the top 10 global economic groups in Asia by 2018, Lotte is expanding its operations in many countries around the world, with Vietnam being one of its important investment markets.
