Signing a cooperation agreement with Hong Ha Academy

On November 6, 2010, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities signed an agreement on cooperation and cultural and educational exchange with Honghe Academy (China).Attending the signing ceremony, on the side of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, there were Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector of the University) and representatives of the Faculty of History, Department of Anthropology, Center for Research on Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas. On the side of Hong Ha Academy, there were Prof. Bang Binh (Director) and representatives of affiliated institutes and research centers. The content of the cooperation agreement between the two sides includes: - Exchange of teachers and research staff, interns, short-term study, undergraduate and postgraduate studies, etc. - Regarding scientific cooperation, the two sides agreed to organize seminars every two years on issues of mutual interest, and agreed to jointly develop a research program on the Red River basin. In addition, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will help Hong Ha Academy build a Center for Vietnamese Studies. The two sides also agreed to cooperate in exchanging documents and scientific research information periodically or irregularly. - In addition, in order to further promote the relationship of exchange and cooperation, enhance mutual understanding, the two sides agreed to send irregular delegations to visit and work. The two sides also agreed to organize educational and cultural survey activities such as receiving visiting and survey delegations and short-term language internship delegations of teachers and students of the two schools. This agreement is valid for 5 years. Honghe Academy is located in Mengzi, the capital of Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China. Honghe Academy currently has 13 branches, nearly 40 training majors in the fields of information technology, economics, natural sciences, social sciences and humanities... Of which, there are 7 branches and 19 majors in social sciences and humanities.
