Signed a cooperation agreement with Hong Ha Academy.

On November 6, 2010, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities signed an agreement on cooperation and cultural and educational exchange with Honghe Academy (China).Attending the cooperation signing ceremony, on the side of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector of the University) along with representatives from the Faculty of History, the Department of Anthropology, and the Center for Research and Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Regions. On the side of Hong Ha Academy, there was Prof. Peng Bing (Director) along with representatives from its affiliated branches and research centers. The cooperation agreement between the two sides includes: - Exchange of teachers and researchers, student interns, short-term studies, undergraduate and postgraduate studies… - Regarding scientific cooperation, the two sides agreed to organize biennial conferences on issues of mutual interest, and to jointly develop a research program on the Red River basin. In addition, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will assist Hong Ha Academy in establishing a Center for Vietnamese Studies. The two sides also agreed to cooperate in exchanging scientific research materials and information on a regular or irregular basis. - In addition, to further promote exchange and cooperation and enhance mutual understanding, both sides agreed to send delegations on a non-periodic basis for visits and work. Both sides also agreed to organize educational and cultural survey activities, such as receiving visiting delegations, survey groups, and short-term language internships for teachers and students from both schools. This agreement is for a period of 5 years. Honghe Academy is located in Mengzi, the capital of Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China. Honghe Academy currently has 13 branches and nearly 40 majors in fields such as information technology, economics, natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities… Of these, 7 branches and 19 majors are in the social sciences and humanities.
