On March 4, 2013, the school's Board of Directors received and worked with international partners from New Zealand and the United States.Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh received Mr. Jeff Howe - Head of International Relations Department, Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand). The two sides discussed in detail the implementation of the joint training program for bachelor's degrees in public policy under the 2 + 2 model. At the end of the meeting, representatives of the two schools agreed to try to implement the program in the 2013 - 2014 school year. On the same day, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim received Prof. Alice Hines - Vice Principal of the School of Social Work (San Jose State University, USA). Also attending was Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Hoa - Head of the Department of Sociology. At the meeting, the leaders of the two schools discussed information about the project to enhance social work training (SWEEP) by the School of Social Work, San Jose State University in collaboration with partners of 5 universities that train social work in Vietnam.

According to the plan, this project will last for a period of 3 years. Currently, the project is in its first year and is conducting surveys and assessing the needs and practices of each school. In addition, at the meeting, the leaders of both sides also discussed short-term training programs for lecturers in the field of social work.
