To strengthen and expand cooperation in training and scientific research with Taiwanese universities, and at the invitation of National Chengchi University, National Chengchi University of Education, and Tung Hwa University, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa (Vice Rector) visited and exchanged cooperation with universities in Taiwan from February 26th to March 2nd, 2013. Accompanying her were Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thien Nam (Head of the Department of Vietnamese Studies), Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Chinh (Deputy Head of the Department of Linguistics), Dr. Nghiem Thuy Hang (Head of the Department of Chinese Studies), and Dr. Tran Thuy Anh (Deputy Head of the International Cooperation and Training Department).On the afternoon of February 26th, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa and members of the delegation visited and worked with the Social Sciences Department and the International Relations Department of the Taiwan Science Commission. During this meeting, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa requested the Taiwan Science Commission's support in coordinating workshops and implementing research projects with universities in Taiwan. The Taiwan Science Commission fully agreed and was ready to support the university when the research proposal was submitted. On February 27th, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa and other delegates visited and witnessed the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between National Chengchi University and National Taiwan Normal University with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Professor Se-Hwa Wu, President of National Chengchi University, signed the cooperation agreement between the two universities in the presence of representatives from both institutions. During the working session with National Chengchi University, Associate Professor... Tran Thi Minh Hoa proposed that National Chengchi University assist in building a political science library and collaborate on developing textbooks and lectures on political science. Both sides agreed to implement cooperation programs such as student and faculty exchanges, and exchanges of textbooks and scientific publications. National Chengchi University, established in 1927, currently has 15,993 students (including over 450 international students). The total number of faculty members is 693, including 299 professors and 201 associate professors. In 2012, National Chengchi University was ranked by QS as follows: 29th in the world for Modern Languages, 227th for Arts and Humanities, 101-151st for Education, Media and Mass Studies, and 190th for Social Sciences and Management. Both universities offer bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs in subjects such as History, Philosophy, Library Science, Information Science, Archival Studies, Languages, Communication, Chinese Literature, Psychology, Political Science, International Affairs, etc. Notably, Vietnamese is taught as a second foreign language at National Chengchi University in Taiwan.

At National Taiwan Normal University, President Chang Kuo-En signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and highly appreciated cooperation with universities in Vietnam, expressing a desire to further promote and expand cooperation with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa also proposed cooperative activities between the two universities such as jointly organizing seminars on climate change and university governance, and exchanging lecturers and students. National Taiwan Normal University was established in 1946 and currently has 15,374 students and a total of 865 staff members, including 359 professors and 272 associate professors. According to the QS ranking, National Taiwan Normal University ranked 37th in the field of Arts and Humanities in 2010. On February 28th, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa visited and signed a cooperation agreement with Tung Hwa University. Professor Ma Kuen Wu, President of Tung Hwa University, and Professor Chia-Liang Cheng, Vice President, along with other university leaders, received the delegation from Tung Hwa University. During the meeting, the leaders of both universities agreed to strengthen cooperation in areas such as faculty and student exchange, and collaborative research on "Vietnamese-Taiwanese Family Culture." Tung Hwa University was established in 1991 in Hualien City and currently offers 34 undergraduate programs, 45 master's programs, and 22 doctoral programs with 10,431 students enrolled. Tung Hwa University's core disciplines include Social Sciences and Humanities, Natural Sciences and Engineering, Management, Indigenous Studies, Maritime Science, Arts, and Environmental Studies. Tung Hwa University was ranked among the top 200 universities in Asia according to the QS rankings in 2012.

During their visit to Hualien City, the university delegation visited the Hualien Foreign Brides Center. The delegation members met with Vietnamese brides married to Taiwanese men. During this meeting, the Vietnamese brides shared the difficulties and advantages of their lives in Hualien. Hualien City currently has 3,000 foreign brides, one-third of whom are Vietnamese, and they have made significant contributions to the city's development. Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa also shared her impressions and offered words of encouragement to the Vietnamese women married to Taiwanese men in Hualien, urging them to live harmoniously within the community, care for their families, and raise their children well. The Vietnamese brides were deeply moved by the meeting with the delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, highly appreciating the university's standing and promising to live well and strive to integrate into their new environment. This visit and working trip to Taiwan by Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa was a success. Tran Thi Minh Hoa and the members of her delegation concluded successfully, further expanding educational cooperation with universities in Taiwan.
