In order to strengthen and expand cooperation in training and scientific research with Taiwanese universities and at the invitation of the University of Politics, the University of Education and Dong Hwa University, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa (Vice Principal) visited and discussed cooperation with universities in Taiwan from February 26 to March 2, 2013. Accompanying her were Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thien Nam (Head of the Department of Vietnamese Studies), Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Chinh (Deputy Head of the Department of Linguistics), Dr. Nghiem Thuy Hang (Head of the Department of Chinese Studies) and Dr. Tran Thuy Anh (Deputy Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Development).On the afternoon of February 26, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa and other members of the delegation visited and worked with the Department of Social Sciences and the Department of International Relations of the Taiwan Science Council. During this meeting, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa requested the Taiwan Science Council to support the school in coordinating the organization of seminars and implementing research topics with universities in Taiwan. The Taiwan Science Council fully agreed and was ready to support when the school submitted its research project. On February 27, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa and other delegates visited and witnessed the signing ceremony of a cooperation document between Taiwan Chengdu University and Taiwan Normal University with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The President of Taiwan Chengdu University, Professor Se-Hwa Wu signed the Cooperation Document between the two schools in the presence of delegates from the two schools. During the working session with Taiwan Chengdu University, Associate Professor. Tran Thi Minh Hoa has proposed that the University of Politics help build a political science bookcase, coordinate in building textbooks and lectures on political science. The two sides have agreed to implement cooperation programs such as: student and lecturer exchange, exchange of textbooks and scientific publications. Taiwan University of Politics was established in 1927 and currently has 15,993 students (including more than 450 international students). The total number of school staff is 693, including 299 professors and 201 associate professors. In 2012, Taiwan University of Politics was ranked by QS as follows: 29th in the world for Modern Languages, 227th in Arts and Humanities, 101-151st in Education, Communication and Mass Studies, 190th in Social Sciences and Management. Both schools have bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs in History, Philosophy, Library, Information, Archival Studies, Language, Communication, Chinese Literature, Psychology, Political Science, International Affairs, etc. Vietnamese is especially taught as a second foreign language in Taiwan's National Chengchi University.

At Taiwan Normal University, Professor Chang Kuo-En, President, signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and highly appreciated the cooperation with universities in Vietnam, wishing to promote and further expand cooperation with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa also proposed cooperation activities between the two universities such as coordinating the organization of seminars on climate change and university governance, and exchanging lecturers and students. Taiwan Normal University was established in 1946, currently the school has 15,374 students with a total of 865 staff, including 359 professors and 272 associate professors. According to QS, Taiwan Normal University ranked 37th in the field of Arts and Humanities in 2010. On February 28, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa visited and signed a cooperation agreement with Dong Hwa University. Professor Ma Kuen Wu, President of Donghua University, Professor Chia-Liang Cheng, Vice President, along with leaders of units in the university received the delegation of the university. During the meeting, the leaders of the two universities agreed to strengthen cooperation between the two universities in the fields of exchanging lecturers and students, and coordinating the implementation of the research project on "Vietnamese - Taiwanese cultural families". Donghua University was established in 1991 in Hualien City and currently has the following training programs: 34 bachelor's programs, 45 master's programs and 22 doctoral programs with 10,431 students. Donghua University has basic majors including Social Sciences and Humanities, Natural Sciences and Mechanics, Management, Indigenous Studies, Marine Sciences, Arts and Environmental Studies. Donghua University is ranked in the top 200 universities in Asia according to QS in 2012.

On the occasion of the visit to Hualien City, the delegation visited the Foreign Bride Center of Hualien City, the members of the delegation met with Vietnamese brides who married Taiwanese men. During this meeting, the Vietnamese brides recounted the difficulties and advantages in their lives in Hualien. Hualien City currently has 3,000 foreign brides, of which 1/3 are Vietnamese brides, who have made great contributions to the development of Hualien City. Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa also expressed her feelings and encouraged the Vietnamese sisters who married Taiwanese men in Hualien to try to live in harmony with the community, take care of family happiness and educate their children to be obedient. The Vietnamese brides were very moved to meet the delegation of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, highly appreciated the position of the school and also promised to live well and try to integrate into the new living environment. Tran Thi Minh Hoa and the delegation members had a successful conclusion, further expanding educational cooperation with universities in Taiwan.
