This is one of the annual activities of the Faculty to bring Christmas atmosphere and welcome the New Year to international students and Vietnamese students studying at the Faculty. At the same time, this activity is also an opportunity for cultural exchange between students from many countries around the world.

This year’s International Cultural Festival has the participation of students from many countries with 13 culinary booths of Vietnamese and international students. The students all try to bring the typical culinary colors of their homeland to each booth. If the booths of Russia, France, England, Scotland… bring the typical flavors of Europe with butter, milk, and protein-rich dishes, the booths of Japan, China, Korea, Vietnam,… are full of sour, spicy, salty, and sweet flavors typical of Asian cuisine.

And we cannot fail to mention the colorful and extremely “eye-catching” traditional festival costumes of students from many countries. All of this has created a rich, diverse and colorful international culinary festival. The Faculty also had many awards for the booths participating in the festival.

The International Cultural Festival was first organized by the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Language in 2010 and has been maintained continuously until this year, the 5th year. This year, in addition to traditional programs such as the Culinary Competition, the Cultural Night, etc., the festival also attracted young people through the competition of Learning about the Country and People of Vietnam. Interesting and useful questions along with attractive gifts helped students have more fun at the festival, and at the same time, it was an opportunity for international students to learn about the country where they are living and studying.

The most anticipated program was the Cultural Night with more than 20 performances. Opening the program, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thien Nam, Head of the Faculty, delivered a speech, sending congratulations to the lecturers and students of the Faculty.

This year's cultural exchange program with unique and carefully prepared performances created a warm and joyful atmosphere and created opportunities for Vietnamese and international students to interact and connect more closely with each other.

This year's festival not only attracted students and lecturers from the faculty but also attracted many students from universities in Hanoi, such as University of Science, Construction, Natural Sciences, etc.

The International Cultural Festival is truly a vibrant and meaningful festival to celebrate Christmas and New Year. The festival also helps create opportunities for cultural exchange, learning, and bonding between Vietnamese and international students.
