Attending the conference were the secretaries of the staff youth union branches from the faculties/departments and the administrative block.
The conference was organized for young cadre branch secretaries to exchange experiences on the professional activities of young cadres. It was also an opportunity to review the activities of the cadre branch youth unions and jointly propose effective operational plans.
Opening the conference, Comrade Tran Bach Hieu delivered an introductory speech affirming the important and necessary role of the staff youth union branches in guiding the ideology, ethics, and lifestyle of student union members, especially in supporting students' professional activities. However, in reality, this role has not been fully utilized in proportion to the number of young staff members in the school.
The conference addressed three main discussion topics. Firstly, providing professional support and scientific research assistance to student union members. Secondly, supporting extracurricular activities and volunteer work for student union members. And finally, supporting political and ideological activities and Party development among student union members.
With these three areas of activity, the Conference featured three corresponding presentations from three units with outstanding activities, allowing them to exchange experiences with other Youth Union branches:
Based on the activities outlined above and the actual situation, the branch secretaries of the faculty youth union discussed and identified limitations, difficulties, and directions for activities in subsequent semesters. In addition, other branches of the youth union learned valuable lessons from these discussions (for example, in 2014, the faculty youth union of the History Department organized 13 seminars) and made new suggestions for the University Youth Union.
In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Tran Bach Hieu suggested that the staff youth union branches should enhance the role and quality of activities of young staff members, and should have professional collaboration activities both within and outside their respective fields. Furthermore, the staff youth union branches should learn from experience, identify areas where they have fallen short, and organize exchange programs within and outside their departments.
